@@markshirley01 Ole is called the PE teacher because of his coaching style where his main focus would be on fitness and pace ahead of skills or tactics. This is then reflected on the players he favours highly like Fred, McTominay and James (among others); all high pace and high work rate players. Also, his first press conference when he was a manager for Man Utd, he kept harping on about fitness levels and how it was so bad when he took over from Mourinho.

I feel as though the Cup Final is Mou's last chance at saving his job.At an age where managers use counter attacks as a extra method of attacking,Jose seems to be stuck in time.I really do hope he can turn it around but i really have lost faith in Spurs.Every time they get the ball,its only 3 men running at the opposition.Compare this to Mou's previous great teams where even his full backs were quick to join the attack.Something is not right and Mourinho has 9 games to fix it

I don't think any sensible Spurs fan even cares that much. This squad is so much better than scrabbling around for a league cup trophy and if not winning (which is pretty likely anyway) hastens the departure of Mourinho then why should they even want to win? Who really wants that trade off. Levy desperately tries to convince himself that winning a mickey mouse comp means he doesn't need to take action so next season becomes a total write-off. Kane and Son are pissed off and want to leave but won't because Levy will demand way too much so performances dip and their value drops. Such a depressing time to be a Spurs fan. Kane and Son's peak years totally wasted because Levy is a stubborn clown and all you have to look forward to is the inevitable decline once they age/leave and Arsenal become top dogs in NL again.

I think there is nothing shame to be outclassed by Ole. Ole has no identity in Tactics which is his biggest weakness also his biggest strength because you don't actually know what you are up against. Mourinho is a type of guy who studies opposition tactics and figures a counter tactics against them. But with Ole he can't do that.

@@rishi857 Ole's preferred tactical identity should be obvious by now. Is he flexible? Yeah, he is. But he has a clear idea in mind of what he wants. There's a difference between what's intended, or wished for, and what's executed on the pitch. This whole "no tactical identity" bullshit is so dumb. We've had 5 distinct tactical eras since he came to United, but his principles have always been consistent. And more and more now, we're getting closer to playing how he really wants us to. Not like he asks the lads to freestyle it, and it's not like he comes up with a new system every other game either.

@@Elena-gj6ow spot on. until about bruno's arrival, ole was quite uni-dimensional with his tactics, but he also didn't have the players to play the system that he wanted to play. Moreover, Pogba used to be injured a lot over the last 2 years. His tactics thrive around a double pivot, which gives Pogba and Bruno the freedom to reposition and create spaces for Cavani, Mason, Shaw, AwB, and Rash. He has also used Fred and McTom optimally. McTom isn't afraid to put in a tackle and is strong as hell, while Fred doesn't mind doing all the running around the middle of the park. I like how McKenna and Carrick on the sidelines keep pivoting the structure based on how much possession we hold. Ole isn't a world class manager, but he is defo learning the trade, adapting, and using his players in the best of ways

Starting to understand why Solskjaer wants a striker this summer and not a winger. Pogba on that left wing (especially with great left backs like Shaw and Telles to choose from that are capable of holding that width) is a very tricky weapon for defences to deal width. He's very versatile and is the obvious chance creator/play director in that front 3 especially against low block defensive set ups. I know chances a slim and virtually non existent, but a front 3 of Pogba/Haaland/Rashford is potentially mouth watering (and that's disregarding Bruno behind them and Greenwood on that bench)

Something's still bugging me. "Overrated" Mourinho was in charge of United from May 2016 till December 2018, winning in his first year the Community Shield, the League Cup and the first ever Europa League for United and he was sacked in 2018. Ole signed in December 2018, and today is the 28th of April 2021, and United hasn't seen a trophie yet. Makes one wonder.

as much as i dont like Mou (bcause how mesed up utd in his final season), i dont think counter attacking is outdated. u can still win by using a counter attack tactic, like what mou like to use BUT he need the correct players (especially in the center back post) who is very discipline in his plays. He have Tery at chelsea, Pepe at RM, Lucio n Zeneti at Inter. post chelsea 2nd spell He cant find "that" player (baily was injured most of the time in mou second season n was low in confidence in mou 3rd season) now who spurs have as cb? Dier, sanchez. no where near terry, pepe, lucio. He is not a PE teacher like ole who give his trust to shaw. MOU= good result. Good result = get trophy asap. So the solution? there are 2 option: 1) buying a new cb (which mean mou got another season) 2) change the tactic to be more...... ROCK n ROLL (which probably is useless now since the season near its end)
