Interesting this came up right now. Today I received a belt pack I ordered. I wanted something to lay more flat, so just a main pocket and a smaller one across the front. I added some Velcro inside to hold a sort of retention strap that holds a G27 in place vertically. A 20 round mag rides vertically next to it. Going to try it out starting tomorrow. My main edc is my lunch bag. Rectangular bag with a side pocket and two end pockets. I carry my food, several 12-16oz beverages and ice pack in the cooler compartment. I take it wherever I go. Car has a backpack get home bag and pockets carry a number of items, as well.

I tried just carrying a lunch box with gun in it. Problem is breaking and running with a lunch box. But a lunch box is part of my inspiration. @patriotpreacher43 send me an email with your username. I have something for you. Pineboxperspective@gmail.com

I have that pack as well in black. I ordered it some time ago and just now put it to use. They are so stiff when you first get them but man are they tough. I carry a fanny as an EDC sling as well just not this one. I used this one for a first aid/trauma kit while hiking or the like. It rides in the back of the car and can be grabbed and slung if needed otherwise. Thanks for sharing yours man, Take Care

Ive been carrying a maxpedition mongo versipak for about 12 yrs now. Everyday, 6, 7 days a week to work, as a lunch box. It is bomb proof, except, I had to replace the front male side, 2" wide buckle, 3 times. I guess from the daily use and repetitions, it weekens and breaks. Alwats one side first, so you get time to buy a replacement. Now this last time I went to REI for a $5 buckle.

Nice! 12 years is a good run for anything being used that much. Maxpedition is a little high on the price, but they are hard to beat.

I have to admit. 25 backpacks are where it’s at for me. Fanny packs are only good for fire food and self defence + things like multi tools. Backpack for me is shelter and food. The bulky shit. Water is the same bulky issue. The best I ould figure out is the pathfinder m34 set with the whirlpool plastic 32oz water bags with chemical tablets to carry a minimum of 50 oz of water. For me I’d carry atleast a 32 oz ss bottle and cup set in my backpack with summer sleeping system and two days worth of food in a backpack and all my critical survival implements and tiny kits would co in a fanny pack or a chest rig along with a pistol and atleast two extra mags and bare essential trauma pack

I totally agree. If it's not a work day or if I'm working out of town, it's a small backpack for me.

@ even that’s a challenge. I am traveling since 8 months ago almost 50 miles driving distance to my construction site and back. So I’m carrying way more yet still trying to only carry the bare minimum. Yet, by next week we are on a new project and thankfully that site is 20 mins walking distance from my house. So I’ll be probably slimming down to a fanny pack style kit.
