One of the things I love about you guys and that I think sets you guys apart from most of the others is that when I am watching one of your videos I feel more like a student versus an audience. A lot of the KZbinrs out there try to shock you or outdo the other guy. Which in most cases, yes, is entertaining but its not much help to us as anglers. I mean how is catching a fish with a toy doll or teddy bear going to help us. Again, yes its entertaining but not useful or practical. You guys keep it simple and actually approach it like a teacher would teaching their students. You do your planning and studying and then you deliver your lessons to us VIA videos. Your not trying to lure (pun intended 😂) people in using the shock factor or clickbait. And your not CONSTANTLY and I mean CONSTANTLY throwing promo codes at us and hocking products. I understand KZbinrs have sponsors and earn money via clicks, subs and commissions and theres NOTHING wrong with that. I TOTALLY support that. But at the same time, do I really need to be told 8 times in a 5 minute video to use a promo code to buy a certain product? NO. We come to Tactical Bassin to learn how to be better anglers and THAT'S EXACTLY what you and Tim do. You teach us to be better anglers, and for that we cant thank you enough. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

I have a Scorpion MGL. It's a 150 size spool, but on the Curado 200K body. It casts SO much better then a Curado 200K, that I ordered a replacement spool for it from Japan and dropped it in my Curado 200K, and love the reel even more. These new Curado 150 MGLs with the smaller body look even better. Can't wait to pick one up.

21:07- Looks like a Stanley top toad with hollow body frog hooks installed. Scum Frog has a frog called the big foot that is a hollow body frog/toad combo. They just took a hollow body frog, took out the jig skirt legs, and inserted the legs from a plastic toad basically. It floats when you stop it, and kicks as it swims- just like this one. But- what I've noticed is that it doesn't have quiet enough weight to sit down in the water good so those legs can get to really kicking. So I inserted a couple split shot- bingo, works great now. This looks like a more durable version though, tbh.

Matt one really important point to add to the feature of the Diawa Zillion is that they completely cut new gears for this reel. They went with bigger and thicker gear grooves and a beefed up pinion. In other words they went opposite of Shimano’s micro modular gears to make it smoother. It’s a really good reel and I’m not a Diawa or Shimano fan boy I like both companies products. Thanks for all of your help and everything you do on this channel I am a huge fan of your show and this is by far my favorite channel on KZbin keep up the great work.

So glad they added a little drag to the Curado. I fish a few models of Curado exclusive, but I have always been less than excited by the drag pressure. When I set the hook, even if the drag is tight, I still have to have my thumb on the spool. I’ve lost some fish due to the drag slipping in the hook set. I just love the reels so much otherwise, so I live with that flaw. Hoping this couple extra pounds will make the difference.

Thank god y’all finally gave Daiwa some love. That zillion is incredible, no point in buying a Steez A anymore because the Zillion is as good for less money! Edit: and definitely look into the JDM version because it’s like $30 less shipped with no tax, and it’s made in Japan so it’s more refined. Daiwa aluminum gears hold up because they don’t put too many teeth on their gears like Shimano.

I've got the new Zillion and I've fished it a decent bit. It's amazing and has replaced the 2020 Metanium as my favorite reel that I don't flinch at buying more than one of. That said, it isn't a Steez. I will place it ahead of the Metanium, which I love, and for less money.

@@derrickwestfall2002 Where did they say that, and under what context? They try out all kinds of new baits. Some we never hear of. Probably for good reason. Same goes for equipment. @stoneysdead6893 жыл бұрын
The top toad- get the Jackal toad toter for it- you won't be sorry. It's a toad hook/buzz bait thing- hard to explain. Scum frog actually makes a hollow body frog/toad combo called the "Big foot" that's made more like this one- accept from a different material. The body is made out of the same rubber hollow body frogs are made of and the legs are made of the same plastic toads are made of- think of a hollow body frog but instead of jig skirt legs they just inserted plastic legs from a toad.

I am really interested in the evergreen shower top water . Both the 77 and 105 , question i have for the 77 is what size hook upgrades would you use . I normally use owner ,so the model and size that you would throw is what i would try , reason i ask is i live in Texas and there are some big bass in my lakes and I don’t want them bending out smaller and weaker spilt rings and hooks . Seeing as the 77 is small that would be a concern as I don’t want to over size the hooks and kill the action . Thanks a lot and as always so happy to be a part of T.B and glad y’all had a fun and safe trip to Icast .
