Try wearing wrist bands with disposable hand warmers in them. A few wraps of clear stretchy sports tape can keep it all together. Bare hands in 15 degrees all day, no problem. What a beautiful LMB!

Those hand warmers are great I also put them on my palms under thin tip cut fishing gloves.🐟on
@mattfleming867 күн бұрын
I do something similar. Milwaukee makes a real thin flexible "cut A1" glove that I use in tree climbing. Thin, flexible, good grip but good feel. Damn near bombproof. Anyways I cut the thumb and fingertip off for casting. Keeps the wind off. Then I slide a hand warmer on the back side of my hand. Heats the blood up going into my fingertips. Adds SIGNIFICANT comfort. Winter gloves for tramming. If you need to give your hands a warmup recovery, go to the heavy gloves and throw a dropshot for a few minutes. (Don't let anyone see you but...) Shove your spare gloves down your pants or under your shirt/beltline to keep them warm. When you work outside all seasons you learn all the tricks. Keep MULTIPLE pairs of gloves in case you get a pair wet. You can also get a fuel based, USB, or iron based big hand warmer to put in a hoodie pocket. Also... a warm core makes warm fingers and hands. Multiple thin layers. Wool and high tech fabrics everywhere you can put it them. Good luck guys. Find the giants!!!!!

Man that was a nice bass and ones like that definitely make up for a slow day. Only suggestion I have is getting a magnet with same rope you use for lure retriever so if a bait breaks off like that you can possibly get it back. I had that happen last year with a brand new Megabass spinnerbait and after a few tosses with the magnet I got it back. Might be more trouble than it’s worth but a lot in that A-rig

Heres a like and a comment just for going out in that brutal cold. Brrrrrrrr 🥶 I work out in the crap everyday, but it gets below freezing my fishing adventures are few and far in between. I have been out at Melton HIll Dam fishing for striper 3 or 4 times this year when it was below freezing but I only stayed a few hours. Thermals, Carhartt hoodie, Carhartt bibs, my work jacket, and hand warmers in each pocket. I have a hard time doing anything when my hands are frozen.

Any advice fishing fishing a northwestern Carolina lake on a cold day for big stripers ? Only tried once before but temps were warmer and stripers were feeding heavy. Game plan this time is some 6-8 inch soft plastic swim baits slow rolled on jig heads. Fishing from shore, any advice would be appreciated
