Your link to the whopper plopper is actually the link to the 13 whipper snapper. If you care. Good info as per usual.

You're SO RIGHT, Matt! 👊🤨 I've been slaying Smallies on Lake St. Clair and all of them have been puking up small minnows. You HAVE to imitate that one way or another if you want to catch them this time of year. Great video, bud.

Did a charter there once, lots of bass while trolling minnows. Nice lake! I lived in Kalamazoo at the time.

@@rickgividen4318 it was just ranked the 4th Best Smallie lake in the country. I’m so lucky to live 5 minutes from it. I fish it about once a week and I’ve been doing really good lately. My last video was mediocre but the previous couple were awesome. Lots of bigs 💪

When I fish the mini fluke or double mini fluke rig on bass busting tiny bait, I have a blast when I switch to the “SK Zee Too” because they float and keep that rig much higher in the water. If you move it correctly you can make it look exactly like the busting Shad. Fun stuff. Great video.

Just picked up that tiny little Rapala popper. It’s the Rapala ultra light Popper. Only got out once since I got it, but didn’t need to go tiny. They were hitting the whopper plopper, the Rapala DT Fat1 and the Rapala BX Waking Minnow. Definitely planning to go try that tiny popper out soon though. I’ve had success on pretty much every other topwater Rapala makes, so I’m confident that little guy is a quality bait too, but I still wanna see for myself!!

When using the largo shad, when do you leave the strip on the tail and when do you rip it off for more action. Does water temp play into factor?

To those that are looking for a smaller search bait they can cast on a quite a few different powers of rods - Jackall Deracoup. Single treble hook bait with a tail spinner that has ton of vibration. It feels like a chatterbait as you are burning it in, can work it multiple ways, rips through grass super clean. It also pretty heavy for it's size, with models between 1/4oz to 1oz. I personally like the 3/4oz and I can bomb the thing on all of my rods. Heck even my Zodias ML BFS can huck the thing even though it tops out at 1/2oz lure weights.
@joelunder74792 жыл бұрын
What are your favorite lures to throw on the Zodias bfs rod?
@Psykout2 жыл бұрын
@@joelunder7479 It handles drop shots and ned rigs really well, but favorite would be skipping weightless senko, really small lipless crank baits and small poppers. It's a really fun rod to have especially since my current gear leans towards the heavier side. You really want to have a BFS reel with it though for the size and lightweight spool. My TW-80 is doing all right for now but I plan on swapping it out for next season.

@Jon-nz3dm2 жыл бұрын
Why not use braid to leader with most BFS setups? Or do you usually? I just saw the recommendation in the description. The braid is so much lighter and thinner, casts waaayy better especially with lighter lures(which you guys already know, of course). Unless you're just worried about visibility(which I think is mostly in peoples head). An example being a tungsten weight and a hook being present in front of the fish, but the fish still eats it, did the line size matter at all? Is the fish _really_ paying attention to that(or does it even have the ability to see it if it's sub .4mm or so)

I continue to really like the channel, having watched most videos since the very first one. I'm wondering if after all these years, and with the success and subscriber numbers TB has, clickbaity titles like "FINESSE REACTION?! THE BASS FISHING TRICK YOU'VE NEVER TRIED!" (webpage) and "The Bass Fishing Trick You've Never Tried! Finesse Reaction Baits!" are still necessary. It's just bad psychology, and borderline offensive to many of the experienced guys. We'll listen to what you have to say anyway, even though we do "try" that "trick" on a regular basis. Maybe it's just the name of the game, you're making a living off attracting viewers, after all. But man - if that's the case, I wish it wasn't :)
