Thanks Matt! I scored with a Chatterbait today. I don't throw the Jackhammer; too many hook-eating stumps around here (Florida) for me to risk such a high-$ bait from the bank. The KVD Ocho on a Texas Rig also joined the fun; that silly thing has probably been my most productive stick bait of the year so far. It's really not my favorite stick, but for some reason it's been very good lately. Keep up the great work Matt and Tim and have a great weekend, everyone!

Just wanted to share that this page and video lead me to my new pb over the weekend. Fished a small pond deep enough to throw everything suggested . Ended up doing the most damage on the 1/8 oz underspin and a sungill 2.8 keitech. Caught a bunch of bucks on a western clown 110 jr jerk bait using a whipsnake rod with 15lb braid to 8lb . Then it happend , she couldnt resist the clown . 8 lbr took it on the last hook about 5 yards from the boat. Thanks guys , appreciate the work you put in so I dont have to .

I'm so excited now that I finally have the right rod setup to throw big swimbaits on! I love a-rigs but the only issue I tend to have when using them for cast and retrieve is most of the time I reel it back in and the line is all twisted and tangled around the head of the rig. I primarily only use the a-rigs when I'm trolling and they work very well for that with little issues

I have been smashing large heads on a wacky rig in my local pond these last 2 weeks. As much as I love to power fish, they have been killing the wacky worm. I’ve been throwing the Missile baits 48 with those VMC crossover rings on a weighted wacky hook. If you guys haven’t thrown the 48 you should give it a try. I can actually feel it vibrating in my rod tip when I lift it, almost like a lipless but not quite as much vibration. I don’t feel that with a Senko. From now on I’m using Senko for t-rigs and the 48 for wacky rigging.
@andrewboyce7268 Жыл бұрын
Shhhhhhhhh. Don't be telling folks the wacky rig absolutely crushes in early spring. 😆 Best part you can use crazy colors like bright orange, pink etc. My biggest bass last year was an early Wacky Rigged senko.

I know I am not them (not even close), but I would say some, just slower than you would in March. That A-rig, jerk bait, and lipless and can get you bites in those temps.
