I recently picked one of these up recently as well on sale. It's my first chest rig and it definitely fills a need. Im not crazy about the X harness either and I ended up taking out the kydex inserts. It was more retention than I wanted or needed and it also pushed the rig out further than I wanted. You can also use the velcro on the back to attach a dangler for more storage if you want (they can easily hold 4 mags so lots of space). I might get a few more next time they have a sale. Good vid

Thanks man! Yeah I absolutely LOVE their stuff and what they stand for. I will forever run their stuff. I run their med kit and I’m about to order their pistol red dot, their belt and one of their vests and test them out!

You can move the shoulder straps to the bottom buckles and the other one to the top that switch solved the shoulder strap problem for me maybe worth a try

I’m not military, just a concerned citizen and have a question….. What’s the proper way to carry/sling your rifle with a chest rig or plate carrier? I’ve got to be missing something because my rifle (Sig M400 Tread) is always gettin hung up on my mag pouches. I’ve watched a lot of videos and it seems like everyone stows their rifle seamlessly and retrieves it without any issue. Any advice or a video would be much appreciated.

How much gear you’re running may have something to do with it but I highly doubt that’s the case. If you’re anything like I was when I started running gear, you just have to practice with everything and really get to know your gear. It may take a little getting used to if you’re new to it. One way to get used to it is dry fire. Literally put on your gear and sling your rifle. Shoulder your rifle like you’re going to shoot, then stow it and repeat this many times. Start slow then progressively get faster as you get used to it. Once you do that more, you may find that some pouches may just full on be in the way and need to be moved to a different spot. Gear setup is completely personal preference. As you do this find what setup works for you that allows you to do everything you need to do without any hiccups.

Also I want to say, you don’t have to be military to have and train in gear. Being a US citizen is plenty enough reason to have it and train in it. We have to be able to protect ourselves and our family from anything that may happen.

@@BrotherInArms6 Sounds good. I'm have a tacticon slick plate carrier with just 3 mags on the front. I'll practice what you instructed. I guess I'm starting at less than zero. Thank you for the instructions and thank you for your service.
@BrotherInArms6
@BrotherInArms6 Жыл бұрын
@@roundrock63 absolutely sir! Also if you’re only running 3 mags in front it sounds like practice is all you need. As I said, once you do it more you’ll get used to it and be able to work with your gear. If you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. I’m no expert by any means but I’ll try my best to give you the best answer!

@@mutstang66 Yeah but the thing is you are paying 50% or more than the price if you buy direct from China. A lot of the stuff in Tacticon is actually priced higher than US made products they are ripped off of! lol

What H frame straps did you order for this?
@ROOSTER-ql5fs
@ROOSTER-ql5fs 8 ай бұрын
Love almost everything about it. There is a way to loop the straps together on the back which helps with the comfort a lot. The thing I hate right now is that the retention is too good for the AR mags. I can’t get them in or out. Going to see if I can’t find a way to remedy that.

You can try to use a heat gun to loosen the retention of it. The same way they do on kydex holsters

Can the 5.56 pouches hold shotgun cards? Like the ones from esstac?
@BrotherInArms6

I hate the plastic mag insert in this rig. Definitely not made of kydex like the esstac mag pouches. The esstacs can be adjusteded for tension with a hair dryer or heat gun. Also an H harness should be a no brainer these days for any rig manufacturer. Everything I’ve ordered from this company has had some kind of a defect with the sewing dimensions or stitching. Not worth it.

Yeah that is an exact copy. I guess I don’t know how that works. Glad they are bringing something more affordable to market, but Haley is a vet company also so I have some mixed thoughts on copying it exactly.
