Happy Birthday Jane Goodall! Our dear friend and a constant source of inspiration.
In 1993, Jane Goodall played a vital role in the establishment of the #TacugamaChimpanzeeSanctuary. It was during her visit to Sierra Leone in 1993 with Bala Amarasekaran that the concept was conceived to create a sanctuary and conservation organization aimed at combating the live trade in chimpanzees and safeguarding the forests in Sierra Leone. Jane's return to Sierra Leone in 2019 brought renewed strength to our conservation efforts.
Her influence continues to permeate all facets of Tacugama's initiatives to this day.
