BEHIND THE SCENES - The rescue of baby chimpanzee BK in Sierra Leone

BK was one of the last orphans we rescued in December 2021. In this video you can follow our rescue team on the mission.
Despite our conservation efforts, orphans continue to arrive at Tacugama. In 2021 we rescued another 9 babies. In total we now have 109 chimpanzees at the sanctuary.
This year we are launching a multi-year campaign to engage Sierra Leoneans of all ages and backgrounds to help to protect, respect and learn about the chimpanzee, their national animal! Visit www.tacugama.com/nac/ for more info.
