Great video! Is there a video of matt testing the wahoo kickr as well?

Not nice, check out Shane Miller's review to see it's a pretty poor product with a huge price increase. Crazy that Tacx alongside their new owners Garmin were unable to improve a specialised product. There are direct drive trainers with better performance...shocking considering those options are cheaper. No excuses

Product line was destined to go downhill when it was bought out by Garmin

Then again, maybe it’s just Shane.

The bike is fantastic. I believe it is the most realistic when it comes to simulating the momentum and its smoothness is impressive. It is true that it is a bit expensive. Hopefully there will be deals. As far as the sprints are concerned, you will only notice the lag if you can put more than 800W. I’m sure this problem will be sorted in the next firmware version though.

The tacx bike is best for me amongst them all, it’s a tank of a machine and it is really silent! This is actually the 3rd iteration…I have the 2nd iteration and it is perfect…some units on the 1st iteration had noise issues which they fixed…the hardware is spot on and the software will keep improving over time. Price wise I would rather get the second iteration as there’s not much upgrade on this 3rd iteration hence the addition on the name “+”

The software is not good on this one , which is totally unacceptable on something that’s not cheap . Checkout Shane Millers review .

@@waynesmith4589 I looked at Shane's review and in my humble opinion it felt like he was out there to just cancel out this bike from the start.....just remember software is something that can be updated as many times. A metric like power stability can be controlled with software (only comment i see being valid in Shane's vid), all these indoor bikes that come out do the same over time. If you have good hardware which in my opinion Tacx does (the 1st iteration of this bike didn't have good hardware but the second iteration closed that gap), software updates down the line should solve for issues easily. I had iteration 1 when it came out and Tacx replaced my unit with iteration 2 and I never looked back, i bought my wife another Iteration 2 as well and it never had any issues and training indoors together is a blast. Having said all of that, I still do believe this 3rd iteration is really not far off the second iteration and for me I don't not see the value of buying iteration 3 even if i was in the market for the first time...but at the end of the day it all boils down to personal choice and what suits the budget...Indoors i prefer a "tank" that doesn't move especially for heavy sprint training and sustained efforts, the Stages bike and Tacx Neo are the "tanks" in this segment for me, too many moving parts on the wahoo bike....Tacx bike and zwift (if not all indoor cycling platforms) work amazingly well together and for me that's all I need indoors.

@@victorchatue2 You’ve got it wrong buddy , Shane Miller is as honest as you’ll get , he’s highly praised previous TAXC models , he’s got no agenda , he’s done the same to Garmin with some of their stuff . If you’re paying that sort of money I want a product that’s been tested and works simple as that , no excuses unless you don’t care how accurate your sprints are.

@@waynesmith4589 I am not vouching for this specific product because I haven’t used it myself, what I am saying is canceling a new product like this doesn’t makes sense especially if the hardware is solid as software can fix a lot of stuff down the line….what I know and have thoroughly ran through is the 2nd edition of this bike which is PERFECT hence I see no value in getting this 3rd edition

@@waynesmith4589 you're telling someone who has owned three that he "has it wrong" becuse you saw a review on the internet? You, who don't own one and probably never even tried one? That's incredible. This guy's experience is more valuable because he and his wife have used three and for a longer time than a mere review. It's rude as well, touting a different channel.

Cyclists are not stupid. Before listening to bias salesman. I have listened to a dozen or more different riders on U-tube who have actually ridden thousands of kms on this bike. All they do here is tout the positive features of this bike and there are many. BUT what about the problems that they do not mention which are plenty. It's like listening to a politician trying to sell the voice (Australians only will understand). Do what I am doing that is your homework before considering any decision. P.S. I will probably buy this bike.

According to Shane Miller who reviews cycling tech this is a piece of crap , it doesn't respond accurately to sprints etc etc he's a very reliable source of information .
