it will probably take the anime 20 years to catch up to the manga since the entire premise of the story is Komi trying to have 100 friends so the anime has no choice but to adapt even the "filler chapters" just to show every single one of the friends (it's also almost like 2-3 seasons worth of content between the end of S2 to the point where they start dating in the manga)
