He was certainly in a better mood during the pilot. While I prefer that form of Jax, I still appreciate him in episode 2 for not being totally one-note. And although Goose has said that he'll be more malicious with every succeeding episode, I trust that she won't have him become totally generic. I like to think she saves "generic villain" for the abstracted or NPCs. But we'll see.
