Even though I've been doing this for years, I appreciate your videos for refreshing my memory on things and staying sharp. Well done.

Made great sense to me. I myself am finishing up my certificate this month and never thought about the possible existence of a temperature/resistance chart being available from the manufacturer. Just one more piece of info to relieve any suspicion of part malfunction. Great stuff brother, keep coming out with stuff.

Many other videos I've seen state that those numbers 50,60,70,80 is the number of minutes the system looks for a defrost condition and that the defrost is set to a number of minutes or it goes above a set temp. Your video makes sense too. Do you think you reset the time when you pulled the jumper off those pins? Thank you so much for being such an amazing teacher amd wish you much success!
@TaddyDigest2 ай бұрын
It doesn't reset the time I am pretty sure it starts from what time is left Thanks for watching I am glad you liked the video

When I jumper the test pins to force a manual defrost I have to keep the pins jumped during defrost or it will immediately go back to heating mode, even if there is a lot of ice build up. Would this indicate that I need to replace the defrost control board? I have checked the coil thermistor and its ok.Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Do all heat pumps have test pins and temperature settings?

Are goodman heat pumps as reliable as their air conditioners. Also, is Goodman as good as Amana. I know they're owned by the same manufacturer.

I changed my defrost board and now the outside fan will not come on. I put the old one back on and still nothing. The inside fan comes on. Also my thermost is covered in a black rubber. How do I take it off.
