Hope it works for you too. One thing though; make sure you don't put too much in as it can reduce the water quality. A couple of slices at a time was OK for me. I found that the pond snails soon finished the skins once the tadpoles had eaten the softer centre parts. Then once it's all gone I put another couple of slices in. Best of luck with it.
