TADs application in open bite and gummy smile correction｜【Chris Chang Ortho】CC559

A female patient sought treatment for TMD symptoms. Both of her condyle process and coronoid process were asymmetrical. Anterior open bite, gummy smile and bimaxillary protrusion were also found. The treatment plan was to extract 14, 24, 46, close all spaces and use 4 mini-screws to correct open bite and gummy smile. After 39 months of treatment, an ideal occlusion was achieved and her TMD symptoms were relieved. The patient was satisfied with the results.
一位女患者因顳顎關節疼痛求診。她兩邊髁突及喙突皆不對稱，合併前牙開咬，露齦笑，雙顎前突等問題。治療計畫是拔除14, 24, 46, 關閉所有空間，再以迷你螺絲改善開咬及露齦笑的問題。經過39個月的治療，咬合關係正常，顳顎關節疼痛解除，患者很滿意。
