As a Kyokushin/Thai Box fighter in the 90's, I learned to step in, catch the opponents hip with your one arm and his leg with your other, hip in and throw. Works like a charm. Your opponent can anticipate with a spinning elbow, if you do it too much though.

How interesting that Mustafaev, Brad Riddells next oponent, employs these two kicks as two of his most potent weapons.

This is great technical advice! I would use that triangle step all the time when I was training TKD. That one move, if used correctly and timed well, can nullify the most powerful TKD techniques 👏

@@bradquakeriddellHello. Interesting channel & content. I'm from UK, London. I've been watching your interesting content for quite some time now. I've been interested in Muay Thai/Kickboxing for some years now but couldn't partake due to life circumstances. I'm 45 & was wondering if I'm too old to learn now? Thank you for the Time. I look forward to hearing from you 👊

If you fight a taekwondo fight just pressure them forward dont give them any space you have to push them backwards, use Lots of leg kicks, head punches and forward pressure. DO NOT BACK UP OR STAY IN KICKING RANGE OR PLAY SHOT FOR SHOT
@Dmvgold19953 жыл бұрын
Yeah backing up in a straight line or not closing the distance against a tkd specialist is a sure fire way to get your head kicked off your shoulders with some super fancy acrobatic spinning shit lol. They don’t do well with aggressive fighters that come forward with pressure and usually their hands are lacking for those close range exchanges like you said

@@MrWill1729 "lacking knowledge or awareness in general", as well as informally being "discourteous or rude" is what ignorant means. To say to Brad "you should have reviewed this before your last fight" is showing a lack of awareness since Brad clearly knows how to defend himself against the technique he got caught by. Their comment also assumes that Brad was not prepared properly for his last fight, thus further lacking awareness. It is also discourteous because they are not considering how Brad feels/felt after his last fight.

The way to beat taekwon do based fighters, is to pressure them non stop and fight in the pocket dont give them room to kick. Best fight that showcases this is: Joe valtelini vs Raymond daniels
