Nicolas Alejandro Medina the first application he uses, the double knife hand block is used as a block and attack to opponent's wrist while the knife hand going to the opponent's throat is simultaneously an attack AND a check for attack with other arm, if opponent decides to attack. It is a precautionary measure that results in the opponent getting chopped in the throat if he doesn't attack

dont be too overconfident fool one arm is enough. search "one armed boxer vs tai chi master".

Nicolas, if the attacker has two arms and was actually attacking this video wouldn't be performed slowly to show you some basic techniques.

The instructor is way too far away on these kicks. As a 3rd Dan black belt I have done these one-step exercises a thousand times. You have to kick with full force and hit the opponent's gi. You should be good enough not to actually kick him. If you practice by standing far away you won't be able to create the muscle memory necessary to use this for self defense in a real situation. These exercises make absolutely no sense with the puncher five feet away. There is no way to develop timing or accuracy for defense.
