You attend a really good TKD school. I have seen schools wait until the 4th or 5th belt before attempting to teach students spinning hook and tornado kicks. You will make it far in TKD with your natural ability and having an school that is a solid A+.
@MrLee646 жыл бұрын
Joshua Nelsen my Taekwondo teaches spinning hook kick at black belt lol
@joshuanelsen86026 жыл бұрын
Eun Jung Lee you didn't learn or practice the spinning hook kick before black belt? The school I attended years ago wouldn't teach it until 5th keub/geup.

Joshua Nelsen no, sadly. Reach Taekwondo center teaches spinning hook kick at different belts
@michaeljung43986 жыл бұрын
Eun Jung Lee It is not a bad practice. Students need to have good foundation for more complicated kicks. There aren't too many students who can do the spin hooks like him at the white belt level. I wonder what he is going to learn when he is a black belt.

Mine is every 3 month quarterly belt test. All belts :white, yellow, purple, purple white, green, green white, blue, blue black, red, red white, ree black, brown, brown white, brown black, black (If ur under 8 u gotta go through white black, white red, yellow, yellow black, yellow red, orange, orange white, orange red, and then the rest is the same) Alr so for 8+ it will take 45 months so 45/12= around 3.5 or sometimes 4 years tbh time depends Incase u fail a belt test or if you don't take of the em but yea

Impressive skills. But one think I have to point out are his stances. His ap seogi(short/walking stance) is too long. It should be one of your own feet in between. Then the front leg should be off to the side. Both feet also have to face forward. His long stands is good, just need to be a bit longer.
@HunterSloan03 жыл бұрын
I originally trained in Japanese shotokan karate and they focus on very deep wide stances, the stances was for sure the hardest part of switching over to tkd!
@ggCA073 жыл бұрын
@@HunterSloan0 I see. But stances are still hard in taekwondo. Especially since I trained with a different short stance on my beginning years and out grand master asked us to change it a few years later. Still gotta think about it before doing it whereas my long stances are just muscle memory at this point. So I get why he had wrong short stances. But impressive either way.

This is the thing one thing I hate about martial arts he's on a whole different level than everybody else there but he is forced to progress belt ranks at the same rate
@adilzayd13587 жыл бұрын
you can skip belts if you're that strong. personally, this is one thing I like even if it can be annoying. because it makes you practice to have taken the time to learn and not only physically. the belt's color doesn't really matters, it's a consequence. we don't compare ourselves with others in martial arts, and when we got our black belt we have to have learnt the basics perfectly, that's why it's better not to go too fast.
@dantebenjamin2897 жыл бұрын
maybe your right...
@STARZFAN316 жыл бұрын
The martial arts are not about competition between students. Belt colors are meaningless unless you commit yourself to further study and practice. One may test out to a higher level but often it is better for the student to progress with the others in their class, grasping basics as well as mental attitude. These students only have one opponent during training, themselves. In a good school, no student of the arts is told that they have to be as good or better than another. That said, the subject in this video did quite well.
@michaeljung43986 жыл бұрын
Firstname Lastname Martial arts is not martial technique. In Asia, martial techniques, martial arts, martial ways are understood differently. Martial ways trains mind and plus. Martial arts trains for the technique's perfection. Martial techniques is to win the fight.
