He's one of the very first kpop artists to pull off gender-neutral looks especially with SHINee's kind of "weird" fashion back in the days with long skirts, extremely short shorts, colorful slim jeans, colorful and heavy makeup and more. Taemin hated being mistaken for a girl and having people call him "pretty" and tried so hard to look powerful but as the time passed by he learnt to accept himself as a pretty man who can be tough and graceful at the same time. Thanks to him who naturally broke the gender barrier along with his other members and some other big names in the kpop scene who did a lot as well, people in Korea are more open to genderless fashion and a lot more other things.
