The song is his response to people who gossip about him under the guise of caring. The video literally walks us through taemin’s journey ( his Act one) in which people talked about his androgynous look, his tattoos( he intimates that the same people who lusted over him, now have an issue with his tattoos ) He’s basically saying no matter what others say or “ advice” that they give he will do things his way. Also, there’s no demonic connotations here Taem is a practicing catholic, I highly doubt he’d bring in demonic imagery. The black soot represents his internal scars.. the mask is his “ wall” the piano literally represents him... his messaging is ... he’s loosing patience with people who say things without regard to truth and also without filters... he’s speaking to people who feel that they can jump into his business “ crossing the line” ... just because they feel they’ve the right to do so.

@@take_2 This is my take on the music video. At start of the scene, he wore a spider mask, hand tattoo & surrounded by spider web all over. That seems to me that it indicated he felt trapped in the middle of it (as indicated by being in the center with the piano. You can see the transition with that piano (represents his love for music) energized his real self (represents by checked dress with hat & dragon scales all over) for a brief second. In the lyrics later, he was saying haters will never get the key to his locks, however he showed his fan what inside of his lock looks like with the small house scene when the transition going into his soul (from eyes to lock). What inside his soul was represented by a small house/room where he was doing various weird poses & funny face expression dress in that checked clothing explained above. Now if Venita's key matched the lock, she would be able to hang out with Taemin in that small house/room... xD Now if you follow the car crash scene, it was his real self as indicated by the dress code. And the next scene was a resurrection which can be a Yeshua's reference to show that he transcended from all the hate, unwarranted criticism, creepy drama, twisted attacks and crazy rumors (with the mouth dance scene as well as also part of the lyric right after that scene). Now there were various car crashed scene throughout the videos as well as the last scene which further confirm the theme of the videos & that he was either very hurt & killed by it. Then the final end scene show he was in the gesture of a crucifixion & with the paint all over his body that represented blood. The dance scene before that has 6 backup dancers on each side and also throughout the video (which confirm the historical significant number of the 12 apostles). At the beginning of the piano scene he also has a thorn tattoo above his left chest and also wear a thorn pattern jacket throughout, that pretty much confirmed that the last scene was indeed referencing crucifixion (and not just random images / wild imagination). This connected to his Yeshua reference of resurrection prior as well as the overall theme throughout the song. Now the song is called advice, so he is telling his audience the best advice was your own advice meaning to trust oneself and don't let haters destroy you. This is my first Taemin MV & I don't know him or watch any other program / MV of his so there maybe something missing I may not know about. If so, do let me know. I hope this help.

Well, Taemin is not just any artist. He is currently considered the greatest male artist of all time in Korea and is called by many people the king of kpop for a reason. many sing, dance etc. but Taemin goes beyond that, that man has such a unique way and an impressive creative level to make concepts, to make his own musical genre "T-pop" types of dance and break stereotypes of whatever, something that I have not seen in kpop so far and in no soloist also he's the most artistic man you can see so far at the level of everything, he is someone that you cannot pigeonhole into something definitive and all his music videos have a reason and deep message about what that he wants to express. Taemin is true ART at its finest and I have not seen anyone else challenge the music industry and not just Kpop as much as he is doing. ADVICE is connected to their 3 MVs prior to this one. it's like a story about finding his identity as "artist Taemin". Before he left he said that ADVICE is like the trailer for ACT II of his musical career or turning point for when he comes back from the army .. i mean "T-POP Revolution Time". We all know that Taemin is just coming to blow our brains and shake up the industry like always. In addition to everything, you must know that he is a true performer and one of world class at this rate. He has many iconic stages performances and the best staging in which he gets involved a lot because he is too passionate and perfectionist that you have to do with it. like "DOOR" "Danger in Tokio Dome" "MAMA stages from 2016 to 2020" etc.

Taemin has actually done the mask thing in a ton of his videos. Move and Sad Kids come to mind. But I think the vibe he was going for was “off the rails,” kind of like the Joker. Like he said, the more you try to box him in or push his buttons, the more he’ll go off the rails. He’s been under the spotlight since he was a child and people love to tell him what he should and shouldn’t do. So he’s going to literally and figuratively destroy that ideal they have because nobody actually knows him. The style is called Trap, which is new to Taemin. But rap isn’t that new. He’s played around with it before in several tracks.
