Taeyang from group BIGBANG, he is 36 years old, The group became very successful at a young age. They became a household name in South Korea before Taeyang reached 20. That was a big miracle for the Kpop industry. Most of their fans were not just from the fandom. but the public as well. Their fans overseas were already growing all over the world, but due to the fact that data gathering worldwide was still in its infancy back then, it was hard to believe nor find out. That's why it was the biggest shock for everyone that they succeeded globally without the hype. That's one of the reason why idols and the Korean music industry are so amaze that they went global in 2012 era. Also, a lot of people don't know what BIGBANG is like on a much personal level, all because they rarely do interviews (and most past videos and magazines are not readily available to read publicly) but if you're diligent, you'll find a few past interviews translated by fans. Those interviews showed how much BIGBANG matured even before ALIVE era. BIGBANG at that time was going through constant hate and defamation, but their mindset was humbling and heartwarming. Yes, hateful people tend to paint BIGBANG like they are racist or bad influence but finding out more about them through articles and the people who met them and talk about them shows how great they are as sunbaes and mentors. And not just to Y artists but to other artists/celebs who seek for advice. Addition: Suga mentioned BIGBANG's book Shout Out to the World. That's a highly recommended book by Koreans. I haven't read it yet since they didn't printed any English version, but those who have read it, like Suga did found the book very inspiring.

Pro tip: Whenever you react to BigBang or their members solos always watch live performances. They're M/Vs are great but their live performances are life changing. Not joking it's literally happened. The most famous example being Jungkook of BTS who gave up his dream of being a professional badminton player and instead became a singer after being captivated by a G dragon performance. Bigbang is literally the blueprint for modern kpop. Think of anything unique to kpop and there's a 70 percent chance that it came from BigBang's creativity. They just had bad luck some self imposed but they had to do their military service in 2017 right when kpop took off internationally. They were scheduled to make their grand comeback at Coachella in 2020 but the pandemic killed that. And one member went to prison and another quit the group. Bigbang is still technically still a group but with 3 members but no one expects them to get back together and they have this werid status were They're still considered legendary in Asia and musical GODs in South Korea but not talked about. Right now the members are focused on solo work. Voldermort AKA Seungri is out of prison retired from the entertainment industry and a full-time businessman. Top quit Bigbang and went back to acting which he would disappear from time to time to flim while he was in Bigbang. He'll be in season 2 of Squid game. Taeyang put out an album last year and is on tour right now. Daesung literally made hus comback yesterday and is promoting his upcoming album. G dragon is still promising an album this year.

Both BigBang and Epik High are iconic groups, the idols of many Idols including RM, SUGA and the rest of BTS. Both BigBang's, 'Taeyang' and, 'Epik High's', Tablo, are dads. Tablo's daughter is in her teens now. Someone has already told you about the horrendous time Tablo went through for three years following the announcement of Haru's birth when an orchestrated slew of hate descended on him. Even though Stanford proved that he had both a BA and a Masters degree from that university the haters claimed he was lying. I don't know if Taeyang plays the piano on this but he is a pianist. You can see him playing keyboards when he does the live version of, 'Vibe', with Jimin. BigBang have had their problems and they were going through military service for a few years. Look them up.

TaeYang wrote one of the most beautiful songs ever and made one of the best videos ever, all the more so because it is the most anti-kpop videos ever. It starts very close to him and then slowly fades away from him (symbolizing his girlfriend leaving him) in one continuous shot, where most kpop videos have many cuts and edits. He is just standing for most of the video, shirtless in his jeans (TaeYang loves to be shirtless, but here it is more about being striped down, exposed, vulnerable), where most kpop videos are focused on a lot of colorful outfits and choreo. This video was shot at night, appearing very dark, with the cold bluish tone you mentioned (symbolizing the heartbreak after his breakup) in an empty parking lot, where most kpop videos are very colorful and have more elaborate set pieces. He really wanted it to be just him singing about how much he missed his girlfriend, and I think the number of norms he broke just made the video more powerful, the perfect example of "less is more". Tablo is another of my favorite singers and one of my favorite rappers. His group Epik High is one of my favorite groups. I was lucky enough to see them live last year. As much as I like him, I think his version is nothing compared with TaeYang's. Not that Tablo's is bad, it's just that TaeYang's is on another level.

The importent thing you musst know. Men in Korea have the duty to go to militäry service for 1,5 years until their 30 birthday. Big Bang was gone from ca. 2018-2019. Then covid happend. They came back with still life but only with 4 member. And if we look on the website of YG, Big bang isn't under YG anymore. They now have only 3 members.

Well, BIGBANG went into Military Enlistment years ago and after they came out, they took a much needed rest or hiatus coz they've been working their asses off for years. . And Military Enlistment gave them that opportunity to slow down and focus more on their personal life than their careers. Also, BIGBANG had proven so many times that they are successful artists. hence, they weren't really in a hurry to get back to their career life. Hence, the long hiatus. Us, VIPs, are used to that. . . We love and welcome them whenever they are ready to come back to their career life. . We are here still waiting and supporting them in whatever journey they decide to take on. . So we don't really mind the long hiatus. You sir had me crying from your reaction. Thank you so much! Correction in your comment about BIGBANG coming back, the group is not coming back, it is their solo comebacks. Taeyang had his comeback last year and is currently doing concerts everywhere. Daesung the power voice had his comeback 2 days ago with the song Falling Slowly with 2 actors playing out the story but you can see Daesung sing the song on Lee Mujin’s show. Be amazed by his voice! I suspect that GD will only comeback after daesung is done with his. About Eyes Nose Lips, GD introduced the actress to his best friend Taeyang. They fell in love but broke up. This song is about him losing her, you can see her face on the billboard. It was shot in one take. They made up and got married, you can see GD crying in the background while Taeyang and his bride are dancing. CL is with GD giving support. Taeyang now has a little boy and seems to be happily married. There is a SKZ code where you see Changbin and Chan singing Eyes Nose Lips in a karaoke. Changbin does a wonderful job singing it. Thank you again for doing this, I knew I picked the right person, someone that could really appreciate what he is hearing. I haven’t done this little challenge with anyone else, only you.

I had to watch your reaction a second time. This concludes Han’s 2 favorite groups One Ok Rock and Epik High. Since I discovered SKZ I always dreamed of seeing a collaboration with GD and SKZ but knew it was only me dreaming. However, when Tablo said his wife and daughter are big fans of SKZ and that he will do a collaboration with SKZ and knowing how close Tablo is to BIGBANG maybe my dream of GD with SKZ is not so far fetched. This is your favourite pain in the butt again 😳, I was reading the comments you received. Important - Many are saying BIGBANG (bb) live performances are the best which is true. To safely react to their live performances without being hit with copyright issues and to get English subtitles as their MVs do not have subtitles do the following: google “Dorian Gray BIGBANG” and you will get Dorian’s channel. Dorian is a VIP like me who added English subtitles to many of their live performances and MVs. Dorian is the Reactor’s go-to for safe reactions, and is still adding subtitles to bb performances to this day. We love Dorian! I personally have an exception for one song to watching the original mv before any live performances, Haru Haru, because the storyline is so important and you wouldn’t know it if you only watch the live versions of Haru Haru, which there are many as it is one of their most famous songs.

A girl on the burning board is actually his ex-girlfriend (now his wife), actress Min Hyo Rin. The song dedicated to her and its written during their break-up time. They met in his 1AM MV starring together and she is also Taeyang's first love. Taeyang was the idol that never had any relationship until he met his wife. You should check the lyric too.
