the thing with Taeyeon is Yes, she has an amazing technique and she can do all these high notes. But the 2 things that are really impressive is the fact that she keeps improving and that she puts so much emotion in her voice. Every ballad she sings you can feel the pain and emotion in her voice, it's like she went through a breakup, lost her dog & failed all her exams. That's what Taeyeon can do with her voice, yes she's not best but her emotion and singing abilities are just amazing.

I really love Taeyeon like she's literally one of my faves and has been since I first got into K-pop in 2011, and her technique has changed since she first debuted, mostly for better but I do notice that she has become a teeny bit nasally in the last two years or so. It sounds like she's tensing her throat because she used to have a much wider sounding tone but idk if she's going for that kind of vocal technique that has been really popular as of late

I feel like that small nasal comes out when she’s tired/over worked. Like her concerts she sounds absolutely great and perfect, she hits all those notes with ease. But on bad days that nasal seems to appear which sounds like she’s straining a little bit. Taking in account the fact that she’s had to sing so many lines and high notes continuously over the past decade, I think she’s still going hella strong :)

( I need to see the full version of this ) 5:05 OMG stop u making me cry my baby Jonghyun gosh my heart . I dont really like Taeyeon in a group because it seems like she suppresses herself or is told to change her voice as to not overpower the rest of the members and when she is alone she changes her voice to how it really is and I love how she doesnt restrain herself when singing alone , so in a way the group is pretty much pulling her down when it comes to unleashing her voice completely .
