Honestly, Taeyeon's entire discography is no-skip. "What do I call you" is a personal favorite.

Taeyeon means "calm" in Korean and you will find that it fits her perfectly (she also has tattoos for "serenity" and "cool" that are another take on the meaning of the name). There is an air of relaxed confidence about everything she does. She hits the notes, she hits the moves, she delivers really funny punchlines and yet it almost feels like those things come out of nowhere and require very little effort. This character does carry into her discography somewhat, in a sense that you don't get music and performances with full on angry energy or bragging. It's just not who she is. Her intensity is of a different kind. But don't hurry making assumptions about her music style just yet. They say "the genre is Taeyeon" precisely because she doesn't play it safe musically, constantly challenges herself with new genres and makes them her own. Pop, Rock, Jazz, House, Trap, R'n'b, Metal even - she's done a bit of everything. My suggestion would be to check out "Weekend" and "Can't Control Myself" MVs as they are actually a part of INVU album but are nothing like the title track or each other. You can throw in "What Do I call You" which was a title of the mini that came right before. Genre-wise, these songs could belong to the discographies of very different artists but they all somehow fit in Taeyeon's. They are all chill in very different ways. If you love harmonies, there is a goldmine of those in Taeyeon's b-sides. She puts a lot of work in recording those. "Wine" is a song that comes to mind but there is also "Siren" that has a studio behind the scenes on youtube that shows the process of her layering those down.

Taeyeon has always wanted to be a great live singer... from being the main vocalist of SNSD to an incredibly successful solo career... with sold out concerts every single time she does a tour... She not only became a great live singer, but one of the great vocalist in Korea (if not, the world). When you listen to the full playlist of all her solo songs... you'll quickly realized that she is such a versatile singer. Her discography has songs from all genre; ballads, disco, soft rock, jazz. The girl is a force to be reckon with and I can't wait for her to be more and more known by those outside of the Kpop community

I watched her concert like last week and it was just one of a highest point in my life! She's insanely good and insanely pretty! As a fan of SNSD since 2008 I was a mess, shouting and crying the entire time, people need to go to her concert at least once, seriously

Omg yes please show to your friends. This kind of live performance is deserve to be share and spread to others. They are so welcome to Taeyeon's Land 😊. Taeyeon like to experiment her vocals and musics and because of that we call her "Taeyeon is genre". Please watch I Got Love mv and concert edition. Starlight mv and concert edition (feat NCT Jaehyun). Why mv and dance mv. Or if you want a mind blowing experience, watch her 12 emotional singing concert edition.

One of SNSD and especially Taeyeon's greatest strength are their Live performance. Once you check their Live performance, their MVs will look lacking in something 😅. Taeyeon is an introvert dorky kid leader, but also one of the BEST when it comes to stage concert performance. ___________ Composer Yoo Youngseok was impressed with Taeyeon's ability to convey the deep message of a song and described her singing as "It was like Taeyeon had experienced divorce 7 times", meaning she is able to sing about the pain of heartbreak and parting very well. (I got it from Google 🤣).

Taeyeon does a very great job of bringing out the emotions in her lyrics. There's a joke that says that she sings like she's had 3 divorces and you can feel that lol. But she's overall an amazing vocalist. I know you're into dance practices, but her choreo isn't what makes Taeyeon "Taeyeon". I'd say check out more of her live performances or even her top emotional performances in concert vid comp. It's really great! And lastly, when you said she was beautiful, I said "I know" haha. There's a reason she's been my SNSD bias for the last 14 years and is my ultimate idol bias. She's always amazing will never let you down. Continue your journey and I hope you keep appreciating her music 🙂

I heard that Taeyeon had a really hard time after breaking up with a male idol singer a few years ago, but it's great that she overcame it well. Korean men are on average kind and good with women

Taeyeon had a really hard time **before** breaking up with that male idol. The hate she received for it was immense with death threats not just for her but her whole family. She never looked particularly hurt by the breakup itself. It was a short lived story, he was a very young guy and they were both too busy and under too much public scrutiny to develop anything serious.

Taeyeon has an image of having a small singing voice, but she actually has a powerful voice. A long time ago, I covered Lee Eun Mi's song 'I Have A Lover'. Taeyeon's voice was louder than Lee Eun Mi herself, as well as the other singers who covered her. Also, Girls' Generation member Sooyoung said that Taeyeon's dancing is good and cool. Finally, as you can see from the singing of 'Fine', Taeyeon's singing on the live version almost transcends the studio version. I'm wondering if there is a problem with the recording (mixing). Please continue to respond to the videos of Taeyeon and Girls' Generation. Ah, in the street live video 'Begin Again 3' project, Taeyeon sang with less accompaniment, so it's easier to understand Taeyeon's magnificence!
