Taeyeon is just so special. Everyone know how a certain fandom never leaves her alone. They always criticized her for everything. So many sad things happened to her but she said in her Christmas Concert in 2017 'My mom told me to make a promise today in front of all of the people who came to see me today. More than half of the songs were not title tracks, in fact, I think only Fine, Voice, Dear ME, and I were title tracks. That's why to know Taeyeon you gotta check the B-sides. I'm both a Uaena and Sone but I must agree that when it comes to vocal technique and power Taeyeon is indeed a tier above IU but I must say both delivers emotionally connected performances considering their differences in technique and power. BUT BOTH HAS A REALLY insane control over their vocal instruments.

@@whatno.6007 maybe its a personal preference? yes it's true IU covered some of taeyeon's songs during her rookie days and surely it wasn't perfect. however, for me up to this day, she (IU) has already improved in terms of her control over her voice but yes, taeyeon is still greatly above her, but i just like the way both artists deliver their performances. nevertheless, there is no need to drag one artist down just to give emphasis or credits to another. both have their own style, technique, and persona that they must live up within the industry. I'll just repeat it is a personal preference that I like both artists and their skills. :)

i always say this, but live taeyeon >>>> studio.. her emotional delivery is so top tier, and to me that is the kind of thing that is even more appealing than vocal technique by itself, luckly taeyeon has both lol Also you'll realize there's a big difference from taeyeon in her own concert vs. Taeyeon in music show/festivals, she's 100% more outgoing and relaxed when she's among her fans which i think it's cute! and plsss i've been craving for a TaengIU collab for years now TT my sone/uaena heart ❤️ (still hoping for IU on amazing saturday or taeng on IU's pallete so we can at least have some interaction that isn't from the last decade)

i agree with you man. Taeyeon and IU are indeed unbeatable performer talents. Ailee also is one of them but she rarely making a comeback. I wish you could add Ailee also so it would be your Top3 vocalist. Edited/Added: 3 different woman with 3 different type of voice and 3 different colours,

Yeah Ailee is heavily regarded as the best vocalist indeed. I won't say she has better technique than Taeyeon, but she's a powerful singer that makes singing high notes effortless. Not too much a fan of her vocal tone though compared to the other two.
