Action takes place on a 358 х 230 km map - The largest and most detailed recreation of the Battle of Stalingrad theatre ever modeled in a flight simulation with unique structures, buildings and landscapes.
Single-Player Campaign scenario follows the real chronology of the battle starting with Operation Uranus on November 19th, 1942 and continues to the complete liberation of the city on February 2nd, 1943.
Ten Legendary aircraft of the era have been thoroughly re-created using original drawings and blueprints from the Central archive of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Normally no flap on take off for the Hurri! However for a short-field takeoff, 28° (two notches) is permitted.

I still like the cannons and 50s better. Sure, you get more ammo with the 30s, but the cannons and 50s have a much worse bite that makes them so much more effective.

The J87's A i gunners & pilots skills seem to be set at a low level of ability during this mission perhaps for easier game play. The J87 aircraft in this wonderful sim are not normally this easy in to take on. They are massively harder to shoot down on certain servers when flown by a human & not by A i inputs. Also the rear gunner would normally be a far better shot with his A i ability increased, furthermore the human controlled pilot would throw the aircraft around far more to make them dam hard to hit. The A i game can set to different levels of ability but when flying on certain worldwide servers with a bigger human input one can find the going really tough. A great video to watch well done.

in later MKs of aircraft when you couldnt see out the front screen there is a button that you press to squirt a little petrol on to the oil to break it up so you can see forward,german planes had this idea first.

The Merlin engine in the Hurricane seems to handle oil loss very well at least in Il2, I have flown quite a ways on an oil leak and made it home safely

As far as I know British car engines, there couldn´t be enough oil. Check fuel and fill up oil.

One tip: never assume a smoking plane is going down. Most times they can still fight despite having some engine damage.

Tafinski, you're a true fighter pilot. You see the enemy and your fangs come out, lol! But, I won't lie, when I saw all that oil from your engine, I was yelling at you to GO HOME...NOW! BTW, recommend you stay with the .303 MGs. 20mm cannons do more impressive damage, but the ammo loadout sucks. If you had just the cannons this time you would probably have been out of ammo after just 2 kills. Instead, you got 3 and still had ammo left.

Regarding your convergence. I was thinking the same thing. The way you engage, it should be about 150m tops. Mind you, if you are going to do any more ground strafing, 500-700m would be advisable.

Even though you have more MGs, they are only rifle caliber. They do not pack a punch, I think the previous option for your armament was better.

IIRC, by the end of the war Germany prioritized fighter production over bombers. So in BoB that would be accurate experience.

Brilliant idea to use the BB-guns against bombers. You approach the Stukas from below, that´s good. To shoot, you climb above them, that´s bad. Why don´t you attack from the underside? How much is 9000 rubles in vodka?

Actually, the best way to attack a Stuka is from about his 2 or 10 o'clock position. Fly perpendicular to him and spray him as he flies by. Then, dive under him and circle around for another pass from the other side.
