Variety is the spice of life, and beach fishing is that variety! Oh, are there any TA videos on tips for catching trout in hot weather? Here in Texas, the TXPWD stocks loads of rainbows into lakes and ponds all over the state, but because it's Texas, it's ALWAYS hot. Any advice is appreciated! Great video, as always! Cheers!

Do you Fishermen feed the areas before ? Or 30mins before you start ? Here in Sweden there are some that does that just with a feeder chopped down sandworms and groundbait fishbits and all other goodies and nasties ! Im going for a 3week fishing session on the west coast of Sweden to break some pb:s . Denmark stock breed the Rödspättan/flounder and release in the seas thats something . Perhaps their so small ? Or just overfished waters that happends on lots of places on the world .

Grew up with Multiplier reals in UK, when I emigrated to BC Canada, because of the very large salmon and Steelhead on rivers like the Thompson, you won’t get away with a Spinning Reel, the fish will just rip. The bail arm off. Also reeling in a 35Lb + Salmon through heavy water is no fun.

If you fishing off a boat over a wreck what size lead would you use with a French boom and a lure ?
@TAOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Depends of the depth you are in and the speed of your drift. Your skipper should tell you what size to use in whatever conditions prevail.

Nice video and some good tips too! Question: what is the type of weight or sinker you showed early in the video? Looks like a spider legs? Can’t say I’ve seen one like that on this side of the pond.
@TAFishing6 жыл бұрын
They are called grip leads.They trip free when you retrieve,but help keep your bait anchored in stronger tidal flows.

Charlie Monga22 if you're bait fishing and waiting for a bute would recommend using circle hooks they always srt themselves and are rarely swollen.

@@Moe572 Not always. I've had about 10 whiting in the last week that have been deep hooked on 4/0 circles.

What are the benefits of using a multiplier for this type of fishing?
@TAFishing6 жыл бұрын
None that I can think of...a fixed spool or spinning reel can do the same job. Its what happens at the other end of the line that is the important bit. Rigs and bait.
@deanwatt6 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, I thought I was missing something. Much easier with a spin reel!

Sea fishing from accessible places is largely a waste of time and money to the casual angler . These guys have skills and knowledge over and above most anglers . Even they only manage poor quality fish despite advanced techniques and gear .

Shame Tony has to keep referring to match anglers as the best. He really needs to keep pushing the whole elite sales model. Shame because aside from that I found him to be a top bloke.
@TAOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
I think its like freshwater match anglers ,the match competitions demand constant innovations and rig ideas. Many of the top techniques in both sea and fresh come from the match scene..That would be my take on it anyway. I know I always listen to whatever the match guys have to say,especially when it comes to bait and feed.
