I haven't night fished since the eighties, but seeing you putting the bivvie together reminded me of back then. All I had was a fishing brolly, some plastic sheeting I found somewhere and a load of pegs I nicked from mothers peg basket, I remember clipping the plastic around the edges with the pegs, and trying to peg it down with guy ropes made from my dads gardening string that I also liberated, inside I had a rickety old camp bed, and an army blanket to keep me warm, that usually didn't....lol It was still great fun being out there on the local water, often it was just the canal, with a few mates and probably only catching a few fish the whole time we were there, but we still enjoyed ourselves :) :)

HaHa..loved your comment,that's exactly how I fished in the 70's...A large brolly and a piece of plastic from a mattress wrapper..often sat in a chair all night,Heron bite indicators and barely slept.No bolt rigs,you had to hit the fish within seconds..a great experience..the modern anglers don't know how easy they have it.

Done a lot of fishing with my Dad when I was younger. Mainly fished for Pike up here in Scotland and done a bit of fly fishing for trout. I have watched most of your videos. You have sparked my love for sea fishing again. As I live right on the coast it's great that I have found my love again for fishing as i done it years ago when i was a kid. That is down to you and your videos. I love your videos and I think your a great presenter and an excellent angler. I love the solo boat videos but also the how to videos really useful so thank you I appreciate your work. Also started watching the TA outdoors videos you do with your son. The pallet wood cabin is excellent and really entertaining. Thank you Graham and Mike yous guys are brilliant. As usual another great video starring that Great Angler Graeme Pullen, and enjoyed the music as well. Even without catching a fish Graeme is entertaining, but a fish or two adds to it. Was surprised he hadn't mentioned becoming a grandfather, but maybe this video was made before Mike told us. Thanks Graeme, was worried I wouldn't get my T A Fishing fix this week.

The whole frozen vs. shelflife boilies is an old argument, there was a time when shelflifes were a poor substitute and even contained dangerous preservatives but that was nearly 20 yrs ago. Modern shelflifes are virtually identical to frozen baits, same basic ingredients with a slightly higher amount of fish safe preservatives in the non frozen version (freezer baits do contain preservatives though). Loads of professional/top anglers use shelflife because they work just as well and are more convenient should you be out for a long session.

Something iv always wondered.. why when fishing for carp most people use a single lead waight and a pva bag for bait around the hook if you know what I mean. Not many carp anglers use cage feeders, which I find a lot easier, or is there some logic to it? Cheers
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 5 жыл бұрын
I guess its because they can't get the boilies(the hookbait samples) out of a caged feeder,wheras the pva bags or mesh will dissolve leaving your hookbait right in the middle of the freebies. That's my take on it anyway.
