Another half hour spent away from all the troubles in this world can only be a good thing. You provide the entertainment and I lap it up. Great session, great filming and beautiful surroundings even though it's winter. Love the bird picking up the loose maggots (something I used to do on every fishing trip). Thanks as always for taking the time to bring these uploads to us, the viewers.

F1's are a hybrid between a carp and a crucian carp or brown goldfish. This cross produces an at-tractive fish which looks much like a fully scaled common carp and have the reputation in match fishing circles as being the ideal alternative to a pond full of traditional carp.

As per usuall with the world in an uproar the sane place to be is watching Graeme catch us some fish- over across the pind us canucks like to take a sample home and check it with salt, pepper, butter , lemon- and some form of heat to see if they are still delicious eating- even ice cold pike are delicious in the cold spring time, and have noticed that the trout have gone home as well- keep the great videos coming and hopefully things will settle down on that side of the world - from us crazy canucks 🇨🇦🍀- thanks and

F1 is a common carp /crucian hybrid. The "F1" just means first generation. If 2 x F1's spawned their fry would be F2. Though I think F1s are mostly infertile though.

Hi Graeme, you have a new subscriber and totally enjoyed watching this video, I'm a specimen mullet angler and had two over 10lb in my year's of mullet fishing, it's the closest thing to fresh water fishing which I totally enjoyed in stourport on seven when living there, now I live in Plymouth and not much fresh water fishing here hence the mullet fishing, look forward to your next video, take care and tight line's 👍🎣.

Back in the early 80s we used to catch countless 2lb plus perch , in sand pits in Essex . You could catch them spinning , live baiting, or float fishing with big old worms . The water was so clear ,when you landed the perch you could see others chasing them in .Some days you could barley lift the keepnets out of the water. Sadly 1 year they just all disappeared , think it was some perch disease . Great memories though .

@@TAFishing it looks great I know what you mean I bought myself one last year but weighs a tone and not ideal for when moving swims in the winter trying to find the fish , my original chair is just a fold out one with a small table very light as does the job , hope your ok Graham can’t wait for next weeks video , preying there a carp video coming soon as the warmer weather is on its way hopefully an over night at berry hill fishery’s estate lake, take care hopefully catch up soon 🎣

Thanks for the useful tips, as always Graeme. I haven't fished on a commercial fishery yet and was going to spend the the closed season on my allotment. But if I get withdrawal symptoms I'll go. I saw you gave a few maggots to the hedge sparrow. I feed maggots to the birds too, and usually end up with a robin sitting on the quiver tip rod.

F stands for filial - ie brothers and sisters. F1 is the first generation of brothers and sisters after the first deliberate cross (hybrid). In carp the first cross is usually a crucian and a common. Explains why they look like like they do. If you let the F1s breed (if they can) you’d likely get a mishmash of fish that look like commons, crucians and hybrids. These are F2 crossbreeds or second generation brothers and sisters. If you carry on like this somewhere around F10 to F12 they spontaneously start to speak Welsh….

I know,I'm a total failure .I'm doing it all wrong .I'm at a loss as I don't know how to explain to the fish I caught that..well,they shouldn't really have been caught ?? What on earth were they thinking of ??Rods are too long (13 foot match rod is standard)...Quivertip rod(eerr..standard ?) I never saw any pegs nailed in the ground so I guess I'm lucky to even know where the water is...and of course you probably could outfish me without any problem at all...the difference being I am there to enjoy myself ? And have absolutely ZERO interest in competing against anyone else.
