Damn. DLC 3 really set the tone for DLC 4. And for it all to come down to this? Couldn’t be more disappointed. It seemed as if they just wanted to end the damn storyline. They should’ve not hyped it as much as they did for this disappointing ending. I’d rather see the storyline finish in bo5 where they have the maps progressing through the Great War until the finale, DLC 4. Idk, not satisfying and had great potential.

Been invested in the story since WaW. All of the teasers, trailers, music vids etc. for it all to end like this is pretty disappointing. It’s like all the loose ends we’re put into a fire pit, doused with lighter fluid and lit it up with a flamethrower, just burned without explanation, but like milo and the gang said a lot of the audio quotes have yet to be discovered but I don’t think there will be enough to tie some of the story points up.

CLEARLY they just wanted to end it, this was so apparent with Black Ops 3, that game had a HUGE shift in soul... and it ended up with just them litterally killing off the story. This is heartbreaking in a way beacuse just imagine everyone who grinded all the way, throughout all the maps diving into the story which wasn't suppose to be a big thing just for them to pull the plug LITTERALLY! They just need one more map, where we fight in the war beat both the shadow man and dr monty who team up to try and deal with the crews and samantha beat the shit out of them for zombie rictofen to try one last ditch attempt to fuck it all up which leads to his demise or redemption and finally everything and everybody returns to the way it was. Its a dam shame... I enjoyed the journey with you Rofl its been one hell of a ride, shame about that crash and shame about the disk XD that had me in stiches!!! This honestly would've been better if treyarch did what a lot of people do when original creative teams leave and move on and make the end just tons of fanservice that feels lazy. Maybe they tried that with the remastered maps but at no point in this story of BO4 did I feel satisfied. It kept feeling like they were trying to start so much new stuff but not finishing what they already have. I love the ultimis story in BO1, love moon going into tranzit and that crew goin on. I loved extra "celebrity" maps and how those stories revolved around the big picture. And then origins came and made it more supernatural but kept it interesting. Then it became alien octopus and I stuck with it to be let down over and over again Sometimes you should quit while you're ahead

We all grew up with these characters and now we have to imagine them happy instead of seeing it. Im so disappointed, from launch day WaW, to hearing about verrukt coming out, and then meeting the O4 to moon and the end of Buried I was so happy with what we'd gotten. I didnt like origins at first for the reboot, but by revelations i loved it. All of black ops 4 has killed it for me. So many plot points dropped and I dont know what to think. I expected more

I feel exactly the same as Milo, I don't think anyone else in the call were seeing this from an emotionally invested perspective at all. They were just like well objectively the themes were resolved and the characters arcs ended but like, this is zombies. I've never been this emotionally invested in any form of media for as long as I have been for zombies, and the way it slowly grew and grew was so insanely intriguing to the point where it just engulfed our lives. Everything from WaW to BO3 felt like one continuous string of stories and hidden meanings that all culminated together in Revelations (more or less). BO4 was unexpected, came out of the gate with 2 new maps set straight after BO3 that were completely broken alongside some other random story with characters they tried to make us like, which didn't give anyone time to get back into the emotional place we were during BO3. Then after months of nothing we get an alright map with really cool story elements, then Treyarch went btw next map we are literally ending everything get ready whilst showing Ultimus and Primis working together to find a way to put a stop to Monty. Then Samantha does a big speech about how she will fight the great war and put an end to the Aether, the Infinite, everything. And next thing we know 2 minute ending cutscene "so everyone's dead and then Samantha shoots Nikolai and everyone gets 1 line of something they want there you go there's your ending now stop bothering us we haven't had a day off work in 3 years". I'm so unbelievably sad that the fucking community we are all part of has to "look on the bright side" at the end of this whole saga. I'm not angry, I'm just so fucking disappointed and wish Treyarch just didn't fucking make this game.

I’ve met so many friends from all over the world through all these years, so many wonderful memories made and friendships made through Nacht Der Untoten to Revelations. (Bo4 Zombies sucks) Now it ends. The days days of zombies for me were 2010-2016 a good 6 years!!

With the ending I believe it's open for interpretation, what I believe is that we're seeing the universe being reset without 115, the Agarthan device gave all the characters their hopes and dreams and reset their universes with what they wanted to do with their lives.

I was super pissed about the ending until Reed explained it. I like his interpretation and I generally agree. I wish that the map was more cinematic. They built up to this fight with Monty, and I like the idea that the ending was destroying the multiverse, including Monty and the shadow man. I wish that like 3/4ths through the egg, you get the attention of monty and the shadow man and they start throwing keepers and marguwas at you. And instead of soul boxes, the orb just is constantly moving and spread it out more across the map and just have the wave of zombies transition to marguwa and keepers, and at certain triggers a mini cutscene that only happens per player (like what they did with richtofien in blood) where like the shadow man or dr monty or like a marguwa pulls a player's shoulder to face them and then kills them, so that only one character reaches the end. Making it super high stakes. This would also be a decent substitute to a boss fight and honestly could be easily interpreted as them trying to do something different and unique with the ending. I wish that each main character had to face their own death and accept it instead of dying in their sleep. That would have had so much more emotional impact. About Nikola's soul, I had originally thought that ultimus and primus died because the summoning key was destroyed and all of their souls where trapped in it, except Nokia whose soul was never captured and ultimus richtofien who was brought back to life by zombie richtofien so no soul. I mean the characters where bleeding from their eyes and had skin falling off, which seems much more destructive than what a poison would do. Also wtf happened to primus will fail ultimus will succeed or whatever? That seems to have been completely dropped. Also it was never explained really who our primus richtofien actually is. It currently seems like it's just the same post war richtofien and they just did a costume change. All in all I like the actual story. I wish that it was delivered a bit differently and that there the gameplay buildup to the final scene was just more cinematic. The actual game issues like the errors are just bo4 issues and that's all there really is to be said about it. It's ridiculous it's still a thing but that's triple a gaming as a whole right now. I'm very glad that so many talented content creators where able to launch their careers with this story and game. While it is sad that it is over, I think all in all it was a good sendoff.

Thank you Milo, you have always been the voice for us who haven’t necessarily been huge fans of black ops 4. I have played zombies ever since I was introduced to Kino by one of my buddies and I instantly fell in love with zombies, it became a major part of my childhood and I remember staying up late and running those round 100 games late at night. BO4 was a huge disappointment for me and my friends and I actually stopped playing zombies almost immediately. I had high hopes for Blood of the Dead and was very disappointed and let down, mob of the dead was and still is my favorite map and all I wanted to see was it remastered and to see it remastered in that way was very disappointed because of how bad it was. I never did a single Easter egg in bo4 because it all just seemed annoying and boring, I didn’t like the perk system, I didn’t like all of the new perks, and just like that I moved on to other games. BO4 did not feel like zombies to me and the story just didn’t work for me, I wasn’t intrigued like I was in BO3 and there was nothing bringing me back to me to play the game. Thanks for not being afraid to voice your opinions, it’s been a lot of fun watching all your videos and all of your tutorials which helped me through so much. Thanks for everything Milo, hopefully there is a second ending but I will not be holding my breath!

I started playing this when I was 12 in Kino Der Toten on the 25 December 2010. I’ve met so many friends from all over the world through all these years, so many wonderful memories made and friendships made through Nacht Der Untoten to Revelations. (Bo4 Zombies sucks) Now it ends.

Milo... you should make a video explaining the FULL zombies timeline explaining whats gone on and why certain things have happened. Also every map in order in the kronorium. im sure many people ( including me ) will have a lot of unanswered questions about things and you explaining the storyline would answer many of our questions! @3:33:40 I'll be honest, I think the crashing/error is more on the Sony side. I've only ever crashed twice maybe 3 times since launch & never around an ending/boss fight, but I am also on the Xbox One X so maybe it's just able to handle the load a little better. Even in the BO3 days I never really crashed often.

Mate as soon as it moved away from Nazi zombies and mad scientists and turned in to space people and agarthans and Dr Monty it was doomed to end badly. The spirit of zombies was being locked in old WW2 facilities used by Nazis and killing zombies.

Hard facts. Shadow was cool because it was self contained. It was old timey noire zombies with some demon stuff. But then that became the entire shtick. We went from ancient staves and templars fighting through time via cutscenes, to HP Lovecraftian fanfiction with audio picturebooks. I knew once they stopped giving Zombies proper cutscenes it was time to jump ship.

The whole time playing zombies we try to survive and live to end the game and finish the egg to move forward. Now, after +10 years, we finally end the story with dying. Like what. Why'd we do all this then. I get that Treyarch didn't want the story to end this way, and I get that they had to rush. But man surely there must have been something better than, yeah all the crews survive demons and undead and stuff but die to a poison drink. I hope Treyarch get a second shot at ending the story, I really want it to end well and I don't think this ending suffices for the effort we put in over ten years. TL;DR Treyarch I love you and you've done well but please try to end the story again

People are really heated the storyline could never have a happy ending. No matter what happened in the storyline, it would reset. Even with the Victus and Botd, they’re doomed to die and reset as they are apart of the cycle and them being erased or sent back to a time untouched by 115 or its properties was the better option. Nikolai chose a hard option that benefited the greater good, even if it stained his conscious for that brief moment.

I completely agree with milo and also the cutscene is a f’ing google slides assignment instead of a in game cutscene and the map it self just didn’t seem like a map to end on especially being a reboot I mean you think for the last map of a 10 year series that they would at least make a new map for it, definitely a very low point for zombies.

Milo I've heard some people say there might be an alternate/additional ending to the cutscene as a super easter egg. Only visible to those who have completed all the EE's. Most notably Classified. Every stream I've seen of people finishing Tag that have also finished Classified have crashed. The few that I've seen of people who haven't finished Classified have been able to watch the cutscene with Sam and Eddie walking away. Obviously this theory makes the crash even more ludicrous but I think it's worth investigating.

Do you know how this feels like ? It feels like when u read a comic/novel/story about a very romantic love and it ends with our Guy leaving the girl, his love interest, and it ends on that with both of em not even looking sad about it..... It feels empty, Incredibly empty.... EDIT: maybe if the ending cutscene was fully CGI, it might've been more impacting on us, or at least more convincing to us.
