It struck me while you were placing the birds, that the architectural stamps in the background resemble old Victorian birdcages. It’s lovely that the birds are in the foreground, uncaged. Another beautiful project. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful tags with these special church-ruin stamps that always make me think of those we saw in real in the UK and Brittanny. That magical atmosphere where nature gets a new chance and all kinds of birds find their place. That makes that combination with the silhouette birds and stems on your tags even better.

I really enjoyed following the process in assembling the different parts of these tags. I particularly like the stamp (oh dear, another one I may need to purchase) and it is always helpful to see what you can do with them. You captured that sense of time passing and decay, but also the beauty of nature.

It's a beautiful stamp - I've used it to create scenes similar to this many times over the years since I bought it. It's great for autumnal, eerie storytelling tags, as well as springtime. I know I'm very lucky to have all the toys and supplies that I have... being on a number of design teams over the years has meant I've often been able to buy things at discount rates, if not get them completely free. But it's certainly true that art supplies have been responsible for the major proportion of my expenditure since I started this journey. Luckily, I'm utterly uninterested in make-up, perfume, shoes, clothes, handbags, jewellery and so on and so forth... and not having children or a husband who want feeding and clothing etc etc definitely helps too!! I'm very happy that you can enjoy the playtime vicariously at least, here at Words and Pictures - and I hope it helps you enjoy the supplies you do have in new ways too. Yes, you can use anything that's got some moisture to it. Tim Holtz shared that you can even add embossing powder to water (as long as you heat it before the water dries).

I've used it in so many videos that I forget there will be people arriving who've not heard about it before! It's the Liquitex Super Heavy Gel, and it comes in both Matte and Gloss formulations. Overall, I prefer matte finishes, so that's my favourite of the two, but I need to use up the gloss too... Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

These tags are so beautiful! The juxtaposition of the architecture with the natural elements really makes these tags so visually interesting to me. My eye wants to linger and have a look around. Question - if you don't have brown embossing powder, can you stamp in a dark brown ink and emboss with clear powder? Thanks for another wonderful lesson.

And yes, you can definitely stamp in brown and clear emboss it, instead of using brown embossing powder. It might not be quite as potent or strong as an image - unless you use a really dark ink like, for instance, Scorched Timber DI.
