My brother and i raided a Cannibal camp and grabbed all the goodies. While we were there i saw an Outboard boat motor on the ground and hoped we could attach it to a raft or something later on. Night time fell and we decided to go back to the camp and see if any Cannibals or goods respawned.....we found an 8 foot Cannibal leader wearing a golden mask and using the Outboard motor as a weapon. He mauled my brother with it and turned to me...i threw a spear directly into his face and he fell over backwards, seemingly dead as a doornail.....so i ran over to revive my brother...the giant Cannibal jumped back up and charged us both with his boat motor WMD and wasted us both. 10/10 would fight Albino Cannibal Shaq again.

Openable Containers restock every time the game is loaded so if you quit and re load they will restock (2 reasons for this 1. it was that way in the first game 2. it allows more scarce resources like gun ammo to not run out as easy, it is intentional by the devs)

A few more tips: you can tell Kalvin to "Clear the area" and he will remove grass from the area so it's cleaner to build. For more 3D printer ink, you need to get the shovel and dig near the golfcart sites. This will reveal underground bunkers that will have 100 to 500 more 3d resin.

pro tip about turtles... when you find one laying eggs, you can snatch the eggs out before they hatch! you dont have to kill them to gain nourishment. wonder if you can eventually trap them and have an egg factory.

The bag system is pretty cool but oftentimes I find it to be clunky. Wish you could bind commonly used weapons to hotkeys. At the very least let me move around while holding up my bag. Would smooth out the combat pacing.

I'm pretty sure in the first game you could press (keyboard) 1,2,3,4 by default to toggle between the items held on your backpack(not inside). Almost 100% positive. I found it a gross oversight to not have that. Or trying to put items on the backpack, you just click add, instead of, add to slot 1. There is alot of features missing from the first. Well I say alot, but some things I might just not remember how to do properly.

The one thing I dislike about the Red Mask is how you barely get no visibility of what's in front of you and have to look through the eye holes which can sometimes be not good

It’s like that so you don’t use it all the time. The mask is a super useful tool keeping enemies from engaging in combat with you. If you could see Al the time you could just walk around with the mask easily putting yourself in the best position possible for whatever situation your in.

the tech armor seriously needs to give you more than 1 armor, it's crazy that all the armor varities only give 1 each when some are so much harder to get, and limited if you don't use the "respawn" bug

@@MrDmadness Yeah, personally I am glad I always pirate these types of games first, because in my experience, the devs for these types of games always feel like they have never worked on a game before. It's either horrible balancing or the game has so little to offer after a few hours that you burn it out within a day in terms of content, only to get updated with actual content once every 2 months or so

You can farm resin and other mats found in the 3d printer bunker by saving on the sleeping bag and exiting game. Logging back into the game respawns all drops found there. Was able to print everything I needed lol

Ok, so I figured it out it is so easy to hunt squirrels by just throwing a log/bale on them by clicking G while you caring one. It is ridiculous, but it works quite well :DDD

3:00 - same as The Forest. I built my base in The Forest right next to the plane, because all of the suitcases would reset and all the food and stuff in the plane would respawn. Basically would always have food and supplies available to collect and store in my base.

They really need to change how the armors work, sure make the low level armor like bone or leather break on hit, but things like the tech armor and creepy armor should have a durability attached to them. Maybe make it so that when you skin mutants you get creepy skin that you can craft into creepy armor that can tank 3 hits before breaking, and the tech armor can't tank hits or break easily, but it lowers the amount of damage you take for each piece you're wearing. So you can wear like 4 pieces of tech armor combined with creepy armor to tank damage and lower damage taken.

So there is a small island within a small "lake" that you can build on. Nothing can get to that island unless you build a bridge. However once winter hits and the lake freezes they will be able to attack your base, so make sure you build walls around it.

Someone mentioned you can feed the crawly ones (throw them fish, raw meat?) and possibly prevent them from attacking. Not sure if true but can't find anyone testing it either (because everyone just kills the f ouuta them right away, and eventually they will attack on their own).

We waited for 1.0 release to play this and we need some new beginner guides, not this 11 month old stuff. I’m playing on normal difficulty and it gets very hard after maybe 5-6 nights as there are constantly multiple enemies harassing you so you could never just have a little house out in the open like this. The first thing everyone should do is find a defensible location near a stream and build shelter with a wall and have few traps in good spots, then start to do this stuff in video.

The snow peak isnt so bad. It has fresh water non stop and fish. If you head further up. There is an ice cave with cloths ropes and other goodies.

The snow peak is goated. I spawned there then I walked to the cave close to the spawn on the beach and got the stun gun and rebreather, then on my way back I maxed rocks and sticks then made a nice snow fort at the top. Kelvin spends his days getting me fish and sitting by the fire while i go hunting and he helps with material gaining when I make improvements

After you kill only a small amount of cannibals the mask becomes 100% useless and they attack you instantly. It’s only useful for about the first 2-3 in game days, so in reality it’s not that important but just have it anyway.
