You missed a 32 damage royal guards claymore across from the arrows next to broken statue 5:12 and a chest with 50 rupees if you keep going stright after you reach top of steps but before 2nd set of steps

I think tears of the kingdom isn’t built much around battle sure it has good mechanics while battling but it’s rlly the machines and creativity that bring totk to life like I don’t think anybody played the whole game the way it was meant to be played and definitely did some creative moves here and there

Armor is purely aesthetic until you get great fairies, and upgrading these clothing items in specific is extremely hard Weapons are not good at all unless you know how to fight lynels with the claymore The hylian shield is really the only op item here, and shield guard stats don’t mean much in the beginning of the game anyways because all shields block 100% of your damage anyways. So really, the only thing good you’re getting out of this is clothing items that have the potential to be good with immense amounts of work, and a shield that will last you very long.

He missed the best piece the champion leathers which are so easy to get. You just shoot a fire arrow in two cauldrons in the Sanctum and it’s a 32 Armor Piece.

In the harbour entrance, there is a rusty claymore. this is a reference to the great flame blade that was in the same spot in botw

You actually missed a royal guards claymore in the sanctum, it was right behind the statue on your left when you got the royal guards bow at 5:12 in the video. That whole area is just so packed with weapons it’s so easy to miss so much. I didn’t even find that claymore until after I had gone through that area for a second time after watching this video.

I just wanted to tell people who may have not play breath of the wild yet you can also go to the castle at the start of the game and get loot like in this game but just be very careful there is more enemies and if you go to a certain area a Cut scene will happen and you will be in the last boss battle. Im happy they did that in this game where you can get good stuff from the start of the game if you know where to look

Thanks a lot! I'm still super early in the game and I wanted some kind of nice boost to my equipment. All 4 of my shields are 55+ defense, 4/5 of my bows are 30+ atk, and the Royal Guard weapons and armor were also nice to have as well. Now I just need to find a way that isn't unnecessarily complicated to get enough ruppees to buy at least 2 pieces of the heat and cold resistatant gear so I can start getting thru these first four main quests

Go to towers and launch yourself up in the sky, then try and find the shrines in the sky, the ones which say ruaru’s blessing. A few of the ruarus blessings will contain a chest with a diamond which you can sell for a lot of money. Do this if you don’t want to break rocks in caves for rubies and such

Another thing you should get early is the glide set. I don't want to spoil how you get it here, you can find it online if you really want to know, but if you've already got one, they're all obtained in a similar way so look for those locations on the map. Not only does it look cool, it's very useful.

For the hands made of gloom you can also just off to the right and right away jump back onto the wall on your left. theyll be stuck either above or below you and if youre far enough out and wait long enough they disappear and leave a drop also.

Lizalfos bones are 22 damage so fusing 2 together gives you a 44 damage weapon almost immediately in game

It's funny that most ppl STILL don't realize that your camera affects enemy aggro! If you have your camera pointed away from foes, they will not aggro! That is unless you are super close to them. If you are any sort of respectable distance from them then you can simply walk right by, even if they're looking right at you! How ppl still don't know this is beyond me, as if you are even halfway observant you'll notice this, as you'll see the ? Marks only appearing over enemies heads when you look at them w the camera, which you can see happen even in this video! It's such an obvious thing yet 6 years later & I still haven't heard a single KZbinr mention this before.

Maybe a little late but you can use swords to cut grass on the outside of the lookout to farm crickets for stamina elixirs and lizards for climb set upgrades....and where you find on sanctum the royal guards bow if you have jumped to the left you would find another but earlier royal guard claymore, and on the docks the gloom hands on there is a random encounter, if you find it swim until despawns and be safe to catch 3 hearty salmons for a +12 temporary hearts for all 3 of them.

I love the sheer amount of cheese in this game, i swear i dont think i do 50% of the shrines intended. Just the magnesis + recall alone is broken AF, lol. But thats what makes the game so fun IMO. Several ways to do everything.

For the Hylian Shield, there is literally a back entrance on the cliffside that leads directly to the chest room. I just pinned the location shown on a KZbin video and found it immediately. It's actually hilarious the game let's you find it early if you know the docks route and trolls you even further with a hidden shortcut

It's great, but they somehow botched turning when swimming. They removed the easing animation when turning. Now Link overshoots the direction and then snaps back, it feels bad. You can't turn smoothly in water now, Link kinda stutters. And I double checked with BOTW and now I can't unsee it. I'm posting this wherever I can so that more people become aware of this issue.

you don't have to do a bomb jump to get up to that shrine, you can go down the stairs under it and use ascend

If you dont have a bomb flower at 7:04 you can go into that tunnel in there and ascend then you need to just climb that other thing but immediately dash else you will fall bc of the rain. I hope this helped

lucky enough i found the royal guard just by exploring in early, I would suggest to explore the whole castle early game, without spoilers is way more fun, but if you feel it is too hard, then yeah use a video, since those enemies are indeed a pain in the ass in early, they all one shot you 100%, with good amount of arrows thoe you can defend yourself and with at least 2 spears you will be good to go (carefull with lighting, pay attention to what you got equiped, youll figure out what im talking about once you get strike by lighting XD)

Brilliant thanks...there was alot more stuff...I loot Hyrule castle on a regular basis but never got all the armour pieces and the chest under the throne is a buzz.....I used to love the Docks in BOTW....there was a flamable sword there. The docks was my way in because I had activated the shrine. The Dusk bow will respawn...I will definitely go back for that now that I have the Stamina. There's a korok in the docks I think...I saw that circle ow water lilies or whatever on my way in.

Heres an easy way to avoid the gloom master. If you save your game before the gloom master grabs you and load back into that save the gloom master returns to its spawn point and in fact despawns

The bomb shield flip is a call back to a glitch in OoT 7:24

I think it's more making a game mechanic of a fast travel glitch people used in botw. People would set a bomb on the ground, jump onto their shield like they were going to surf it then activate the bomb and it would send you flying across the map.
