At first I was trying to play on hard. But man, it's not hard, it's grindy! Best thing I did was getting rid of the "survival" aspect of the game (partially, because you still have to deal with the endless crafting). If you change your world config so their stamina goes down slower, you can basically cross the whole map resting only a few times. To me it isn't cheating. It actually brings more fun to the game by lessening your frustration.

@xKeegaa8126 It's just as easy to get as wool and eggs - but cotton candy offers very low food (5, instead of berries 16), so you need a LOT more of it. What you can do, is farm it up, and then when you want to mandate cruel work, swap it over to the left most box in the food tray.

Use the fenglope dash ability off a cliff edge to yeet yourself across insane distances very fast. Honestly once you get a good fenglope you will only ever be using a flying mount to get height and even then fenglope has double jump and can climb a decent amount of the mountains with ledges

One thing I think we need a stat on is the stamina gauge, Suzaku feels like it has infinite stamina, where all the birds feel like the drain so incredibly fast. Suzaku also has 1100 sprint speed while mounted

Suzaku has 350 stamina, Faleris has 230, Beakon has 160, Shadowbeak has 250. Jetragon only has 100 stamina, but it's base speed is higher than every other mounts sprint speed at 1700.

Ragnahawk is the quickest flyer that is small enough to fit through dungeons. Another bonus it adds fire damage to your attacks while mounted for farming the highest level dungeons in the ice biome easily.

As someone only just starting to obtain these, my beef with Ragnahawk is that it takes multiple key presses to lift off. Beakon and Suzaku (and Nitewing prior) are single press/hold to lift off. That just feels better with how I'm accustomed to mmo flying mounts and such.

I agreed with this at first, however once I realized that flying mounts move at the same speed while using less stamina when they sprint on the ground (plus you can start regaining stamina just by stopping your sprint, instead of having to descend back to the ground first, so a lot of time saved that way too), I started to prefer this type since the only reason to fly then becomes vertical traversal, so I'd prefer having to double-jump to start flying rather than having to descend to land again after every time I need to jump

5:56-6:15 Another good trick for traveling farther once your flying mount runs out of stamina is jumping OFF of it and immediately start gliding (have a Galeclaw on your team to glide extremely fast) also if your stamina starts to run out while gliding then request “ride” again, by then your flying mount will have its stamina back to catch you in the air. If your flying mount somehow gets stuck or doesn’t catch up with you fast enough there is also the option of letting yourself free fall and then click the glide button again just as you’re about to land. I also recommend having a grappling gun on you just in case when you fall, could avoid accidentally missing a cliff you wanted to land on.

Another tip if you're absolutely set on using the direhowl because its cooler or whatever you can use its fierce fange move, then jump a little bit after you start moving to get some insane chasm clearing leaps.

Beakon is also a mini boss much closer to spawn. Also i like to go up instead of down when im running out of stamina, bail and hit my glider and by the time i hitbthe ground we got flying stamina charged again. Also, if you see a down slope, in the direction u wanna go, you gotta try the slide (tap crouch while sprinting) and glide (jump from the fastest point of your slide and open ur glider right away keeping the momentum. Ive travelled long distances like this in very little time.

I have noticed that not all flying mounts can move if you are overweight. I am still using a Nitewing for mining purposes. Even slightly overweight, it can still (slowly) move around. From watching your videos I noticed the faster your mount the quicker your stamina runs out. So essentially, you can't go any farther than the slowest flyer, you just get there quicker.

I was actually considering using Pyrin Noct for my ground mount. It's a bit faster in running and sprint speed than Fenglope, and it's dash move (numbers wise at least) lasts longer than Fenglopes. Although double jump is pretty strong... Now I have a few decisions to make

The breeding pen kinda bugs out between world loads. You have to empty the pen, leave the area for a minute, come back, and THEN try assigning them to the breeding pen. Another "This will be patched eventually", assuming Pocketpair doesn't just take the money and run the moment they think people aren't paying attention anymore.

I had changed my "partner skill" keybind to something else, which prevented me from throwing pals to assign them(and because I had these keybinds since I initially started, I had no concept of what it was supposed to actually look like). Resetting my keybinds to the defaults fixed my issue.

Fengalope was actually my first real mount because I didn’t really travel as much and focused on bonuses and resource hoarding in the early game. Beamon is my favorite. He looks the best, and he’s actually pretty easy to cross breed with good stats, with a Grizzbolt and Relaxaurus Lux. Grizzbolts usually have good passives and Lux often has none. So easy to work on the passives.

Fenglope is the best for ground traversal, but if we put them on a straight road from one point of the map to the other. Eiktyrdeer will get to the finish faster because his charge has a lower cooldown and he regens stamina while charging. Anubis is the best non flying fighter especially against other humans he does so much damage to them with his roundhouse kick

That double jump is crazy. U can super jump with the skill quickfang on direhowl. I'm curious if we can find quickfang in a skill fruit and combo it with double jump. As it stands right now ( from my tests ) the direhowl quickfang super jump is the highest speed we can achieve, including lego pals. It also 0 CT if you don't hit another pal.

Dude Rayhound is also insanely fast with an equally insane vertical leap. Has double jump as well. It's like fanglope without the slow floating downward and is electric, they probably are the same speed wise.

If you have the basic Elk already you can breed it with a Sweepa to get a Vaynwyrm. It'll be super fast then you can cross breed all the Stats you had with Elk to it and make the bigger Hawk.

I actually have a way via breeding to get an Anubis a lot faster than using the two bosses. A Relaxaurus, which can be found in the yellow forest not far from the small settlement around level 20, with a Celaray, which is a very common Pal near the coast not too far from Zoe's tower, results in an Anubis.

Keep in mind, pals eat the left most food in the bin. So leave an empty space, cooked berries, raw berry, don't produce other food. A single cotton candy sheep passively boosting sanity can be really good if you have the space for it. Just don't cook all your berries, leave a few to occupy the slot.

You are sort of wrong about Direhowl. It gets ridiculous fast as you level it up with the condensor. I have one with runner and swift and its borderline uncontrollable even without sprint. The special ability seems to be multiplicative with other bonuses and I haven't even fully leveled it with the condenser. I can literally just use the skill fruits and add whatever skills I need for the situation and just run circles so fast around bosses they cant keep up. Fill my other slots with Daedreams and Dizzys and it's just broken.

I want to know, too. I keep doing silly tests and that is not accurate enough to draw definite conclusions. It also requires me having the pals with the same passives to test it, having saddles etc.

Once you get the Jet you're good, I used Nightwing and then the Zapdos thing until I leveled up.

I'm pretty sure that the bosses have different egg values. So breeding with them give different results than their normal counterparts.

Nah, I've definitely bred with Bosses and gotten what I should have. It's possible that some have different values, but def not all Like I got a Suzaku Aqua from Boss Jorm and regular Suzaku yesterday

Just getting a flying mount period is good as it makes egg hunting easier. I got a Ragnahawk early but unfortunately will be awhile till can craft the saddle.

I stumbled on anubis the first time i bred my pals. A quivern with artisan and chillet with some other good passive. It was great

Let's not forget that BUshi boss can drop the legendary crossbow schematic... not too important sure but some people like fighting (and I'm betting it'll be useful when PvP eventually gets added).

To get anubis u can also breed dinossom with elizabee dinossome is easier to find it spawns where u spawn at the beggining of the games elizabee is level 20 found near the snowy mountain fork hope it helps
