Makenzie sure got mud on her face so cute . Wow it sure is foggy can’t hardly see much. So cute baby calves . You keep the girl calves and sale the bull calves?❤

Hey Rosemary mate. Hope your family is doing great. We are going good here. Mum has had a small problem with her knee again she’s back in hospital again. Damn cellulitis effecting her again. Very close. October is when we start breeding again. Yes she is getting strong and is very fit. Dallas is strong for a 4 year old. Makenzie is now 6. Shes a crack up. We keep the girls calves for our future. We bobby all the bull ai and last two months of bulls and girls from our heifers to our local calf works. The Herefords we are aiming to keep a few more this year.

It is always sad mate. But unfortunately the only way to produce milk and give for the future of our herd. We keep and look after about 60% of the calves born on farm. The other 40% are bobby calves and unfortunately lost on farm.

The milk in the drums are colostrum milk which is not for human consumption. I’ve tasted colostrum a few times where it falls into your mouth and damn it tastes like crap. But the milk in the vat is for human consumption and I can say tastes great. Very creamy. I drink that stuff in my cups of tea and straight from the cup all the time. Can’t beat it.
