Watch him in The Eddy on Netflix. Beautiful and amazing. He's killed off early but comes back in people's memories. He made me light up just watching him and I didn't realize where I'd seen him before, even though I only watched The Serpent about a month ago.

If you love Tahar's acting, and not scared of subtitles, I strongly recommend to watch 'A Prophet' by Jacques Audiard, where he got his first major breakthrough role. He was awarded 7 times for it. Literally bewildering performance

I first saw Tahar in the movie The Prophet and let me tell you, his acting has stayed with me ever since then. He is soooo good! And if you haven't watched this movie, I highly recommend it. It does a great job at showing how the prison system doesn't reform, but turns them into real criminals instead. Watch it!!! Tahar, I will see win an Oscar soon, my friend. He played quite a hero in The Looming Tower- so not always dark roles. And Mauritanian is also not a dark role, just a man who was wrongly imprisoned for years but still has an upbeat view of life. The Serpent is the darkest but still very interesting. Loved all your roles, Tahar.
