This is why I love reaction videos. Seeing the utter shock and joy yall experienced listening to Lawrence for the first time brought me right back to the first time I heard them, I was cheesin right along with yall!😁 Like everyone else is saying, you’ve gotta watch the acoustic-ish Don’t Lose Sight video. That was my intro to Lawrence, it blew my mind. Confident I’m Insecure and The Weather (both acoustic-ish) are also incredible!

Welcome to the family business! Clyde and Gracie Lawrence are siblings that front an 8 member band out of NY. All the other band members have been friends they have picked up growing up, from middle school all the way through Clyde's time in college. Gracie joined full time after HS and they are on album #4 (the second under Bellion's label). A few months back they performed on the Tonight Show (Whatcha Want), they've opened for the Jonas Brothers last year and just a while ago, opened for the Rolling Stones in NY. They have been featured on Jacob Collier's latest album, and Gracie is featured on Meghan Trainor's latest album (Crushin'). The Acoustic-ish versions of the songs are a pretty decent example of the live feeling, but these sessions involve singing with a group of backup vocalists that are not normally part of the normal show. Still, fire sessions every time. You could easily just spiral down the rabbit hole with all of their stuff. The best way to enjoy the 8 piece Lawrence band are clips of them in concert. They've been around for 10 years - 4 full albums - and they are on their 2 leg of their Family Business tour. FYI - the girll, Gracie also joined the show Sex Lives of College Girls (on MAX - the Mindy Kaling show) as a series regular, and she was JUST announced her first Broadway musical ... she plays Connie Francis in "Just In Time", the Bobby Darin musical. He star is on the rise!

Dont expect a lot of views but their r fans are consistent Fun Fact: At age 6, Clyde became the youngest ever member of the Songwriters Guild of America , for a song he wrote for the Movie Miss Congeniality. His dad was the co-screenwriter and the producers axed the planned song. Clydes dad slipped his son's own song in and they loved it. i'm subscribing just to see your faces on the other accoutish tunes

Always do their acoustic versions. Backups are friends who have their own gigs going on and they help support on these but given some props for participating. Clyde is not slouch - check out "Guy I used to be" for him taking lead. Seriously always a party with Lawrence. One of the best sounding and energetic groups live too. awesome reaction

Very fun reaction vid. Keep it up! This is the correct way to react to that much talent on display in a single room if you’re not just a jaded cynic looking for cheap internet cred. As Gracie has noted, the amount of negativity engendered by clips of this video is ironic as the song is literally about feedback and the folly of chasing approval instead of your artistic vision. As you probably already figured this isn’t exactly the 8-pc band (although 7/8 of them do appear here). All the backup singers are in other bands or have their own solo careers. I dunno if “Don’t Lose Sight-acoustic” will be too gospel-like for your tastes, not every Lawrence track starts at 11 and keeps going. But it is another great example of their vocal talent and Clyde’s gift for music arrangement. I’ll suggest their cover of “Get Busy,” an amazing reworking of Sean Paul’s Dancehall hit. Oh…and you were close on the D&D thing. Clyde was a serious Settlers of Catan player.
