I didn't know that I would ever see Tahiti, either! My husband surprised me with the plan only about 8 weeks ago, and I am still amazed! It really is an incredibly beautiful place. I kept saying I felt like I was in on a movie set. Unlike any other place I have been. Loved having the family together for this trip, too! The 4 of us have traveled many places in the world together, and we are a fabulous travel group!! :) xo

We really did have an amazing time! Jim and I took the girls on many trips all over the place while they were growing up, and we have turned into the perfect travel foursome! I love that they still want to go places with us! :)

We had a spectacular trip! The mountains are of volcanic origin, but are not a threat. Yes, we saw several reef sharks while snorkeling, but they are friendly and not a problem. It is weird, however, encountering a shark while snorkeling!! I ended up buying a pearl ring in white gold, and a pearl pendant in yellow gold! LOVE them both! I'll show them in another video. The trip was originally planned for just Jim and I, but once the girls heard about it...they cleared their work schedules and joined us! We love traveling together and were thrilled to have them along!

When it was close to "fish feeding time", he jumped in the water and hung on to the rope. He obviously knew it was time, and he didn't want to miss a thing! He tried to "chase" a manta ray at one point, too. So cute!!!

It turns out that the only particularly buggy place was that restaurant in the video. The resorts sprayed for mosquitos, and even the areas where we hiked and explored were relatively bug free. So, we didn't end up using any repellent after all.

The first few days were at the Sofitel Moorea, and the last part was at the Hilton resort, Moorea. Both were lovely!!

It really was an amazing trip! Yes, there were mostly stray dogs everywhere. But it was so interesting that they are considered to belong to the island. They were all well fed and happy. The gas stations sold bags of dog food, too. Everyone just cares for the dogs and they roam around freely. We only saw a few cats and some chickens, too.

There were mosquitos when I was there too. They sprayed every night. My husband and I went to Club Med in Bora Bora and Moraea, inclusive. Isn't the water to clear.

The only place we encountered that many mosquitos was in the bbq grill restaurant you saw in the video. Our resorts sprayed and it made all the difference. Even the hikes and nature areas we went to were mostly mosquito free. The water is outstanding!! Just crystal clear. We plan to go to Bora Bora next time! :)

(this made me laugh out loud so much that Gracie came running to see if I was ok...!) Funny you should ask! It was very good in all the places I had it! The rooms had Nespresso coffee makers and I brought extra pods from home. The resort coffee was very good and the local coffee was good as well. I like coffee to be strong but smooth, and I enjoyed it very much!

It was such a lovely trip! There were several bars and areas with music and such, but they were mostly filled with honeymooners! The girls mostly hung out in their bungalow, plunge pool area, and beach bar area in the evenings.

For the most part, yes. All the places that tourists would go to...stores, restaurants and activities...have english speaking people present. However, French and Tahitian are the prevalent languages.
