Thanks awesome video. I have 2008 Chrysler Sebring 2.7L and have an intermittent p0340 check engine light code. Car has trouble starting sometimes and at 80km/h and above it accelerates poorly, delays when pressing the gas pedal and jolts when releasing the gas pedal. This was giving me P0340 and P0344 so I replaced the camshaft sensor and had no problems for a month. Now getting intermittent P0340 and same problems as before. Gonna try testing wiring with a multimeter and see if that's the problem. This video is great got confident in being able to replace that connector if I need to. THank you!

Can this process work similarly with a Honda accord 2019 Camshaft position sensor connector?

i learn off youtube lol i will have to do this i changed my camshaft sensors and still got a check engine light when i look at the harness do i look for broke wires? and can i use my blow dryer to shrink the connector cause i don't have soldering gun thanks for any info
@DubbTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes look for broken wires. Yes I assume a blow will work. I used a lighter 😉

This will be helpful if you change your harness. When I plug and in plug my sensor in it sounds as if the fuel pump comes one and off as if I’m turning it off when I disconnect the crank sensor what could that be

Your not explaining the wire match up on the connector itself.

What is it that you need to know?
@victor_beltran5 ай бұрын
He wants to know which connection goes to which cuz on the wire harnesses they all white. Cuz you explain the colored one but not which goes to which.

you shouldn't solder automotive wires. Solder has a tendency to break due to the rough conditions a vehicle puts them through. A buttconnector crimped with ratcheting crimper is much more secure than a soldered connection.

`There is always someone that has to criticize something in someone's help video. The dude did a good job on his video for not being a professional! I usually don't remark or reply to any trolls, but I had to remark on the statement about using butt connectors instead of soldering... Where did you come up with that BS? Soldering is better than crimp-on connectors in most all circumstances! Crimp type connectors have tendencies to loosen with heat and vibration involved with everyday driving causing corrosion and `intermittent connection problems. solder is not going to break when applied correctly. Crimp type connectors are ok on larger gauge wire #8, 6, etc. Automotive is mainly 14-18 gauge where as I trust soldered wires over crimped ones 100% of the time.
@davesangster8609 Жыл бұрын
Soldering is better as long as you do it correctly. I solder wires on harleys all the time and they never come back broken. If you replace a fusable link on a vehicle, you supposed to solder it in as well as on rheostats and potentiometers. Replacement instructions specifically state to NOT use crimp style connectors on them.
