Tai Chi Fighting | Tai Chi Combat - 5 Best Fight Moves...Awesome! We explore the style of Chen Tai Chi - Chén Jiā Tài Jí Quán - 陳家太极拳. Tai Chi Chuan is a combat martial arts style and if you practice the combat or fighting moves of martial art including Tai Chi you will greatly improve your form, posture, breathing, understanding, and technique when practicing the solo Tai Chi kata or forms! Tai Chi is also a meditation in motion. Chen Tai Chi, Yang Tai Chi, and 24 Tai Chi are the most popular styles of Tai Chi Chuan and my favorite style is Chen Style. Here are the Tai Chi Chuan or Tai Ji Quan Moves in this video. #taichi #combattaichi #fightingtaichi #taichichuan #taiji #chentaichi

tai chi is excellent for combat or if attacked. the breathing is calm, the movements smooth and efficient. the coordination superb. it allows you to get the pistol out without hurry or snagging it. when you pull the hammer its effortless. you should be calm and shouldn't fire to quickly or randomly. your mind would be focused so you dont risk firing in error at a friendly. its incredible when paired with a pistol i really like the north armerican arms mini mag. at very close range its so easy to carry but its deadly. by itself Tai Chi is not for combat but for focus coodination and calm. its only good for combat when paired with a weapon.

People who mock this man miss the point entirely. Smh. It demonstrates how the body can be manipulated at certain sectors. These motions would of course be dependent on someone attacking you with horrible habits but there are benefits to practicing this way. But more importantly. You people need to practice humility. Don’t mock that which you know nothing about.

Like what? You need a fully compliant and non-resisting opponent for this to work. They have no defense for takedowns and grapples. They're just as defenseless on the ground. No opponent is that submissive unless he/she is willing to take a dive.

Part of Tai Chi is being able to sense and quickly respond to your surroundings. Fighting is only a small part of it. Someone skilled in the art would be able to sense it from a distance.
@Evelyn-xx8qx

@@bipulsoti7368 I actually meant that it probably works from a distance bc you see the attac coming and you can prepare for a relatively long time. I find it hard to believe that these techniques would work as self defense from a close distance without knowing what comes next. I dont really get the fighting part of Tai Chi but of course I know that there is a lot more to Tai Chi and thats why I would never want to disrespect it in general... I just dont get the fighting techniques.

Really interesting demo of Tai Chi applications. This is an inspiration in my Goju Ryu karate practice. By the way I am a reader of Kenji Tokitsu (forme 8 dan Shotokan karate) essays on Tai Chi. Tokitsu writes that Tai Chi Chuan was born as a real fighting martial art (thanks to Yang Lu Chan) and it is still a real martial art, but unfortunately in the West is not fully understand, and many people think this is a smooth gymnastics for health... Luckily I can tell that your work and demos are showing the real power of this marvellous school of kung fu. Thanks!

I don't really know about tai chi but what i observ in this vid tai chi is all about finding your own center of balance and your enemy center of balance to use that as an advantage Just my opinion 🤗

I think tai Chi is very useful to calm the mind. A bit like meditating but in an actual fight situation I wouldn't rely on it
