Here's a Message to All My KZbin "HATERS" Out There Who Like To Spam My KZbin Videos with Negative Hateful Comments: "We're uploading great, fun, traditional, effective content that's purpose is to keep Traditional Chinese Martial Arts alive since Traditional Chinese Martial are currently dying! I have NEVER once advertised any of my videos! We have NEVER sponsored or put money toward any of our KZbin videos. All our views, subscribers, and followers have found us organically on their own and our analytics say we have a 20 "Like" to 1 "Dislike" ratio! That's pretty good in my opinion! That means for every 2,000 people who watch our videos and hit "LIKE" only about 100 hit "DISLIKE". :) We get over 50,000 video views a Day and add 300 New Subscribers everyday! We get TENS OF THOUSANDS of comments everyday on our videos and lessons here on KZbin! There is NO WAY I can read or respond to them all. I reserve about 1 hour each day to answer KZbin comments and I try to get to as many as I can! My wife Pam answers a couple hundred emails everyday from people who email us at www.JakeMace.com. If you want to post your own videos about me on your channel then DO IT! I LOVE IT! If they're positive then that's great! If they're negative then that's great too! Live your life! Definitely. The haters can go away. But I do see what some people are saying, Including me. I know Xing Yi Quan, karate, and Taekwondo. As far as Tai Chi goes, I have no idea what its like other than it looking very smooth. But for your Xing Yi Quan video, I'm not hating on it at all, its just wrong in many ways and I want to point that out. I just don't want people to learn the wrong things. I don't want you stop having fun or anything like that, i just want things corrected :)

I would like to post this comment saying that: even if you have to practice Tai Chi, as a form of psycho-physical well-being rather than personal self-defense, this video or person clearly explains the reason for these posture movements, to make Tai Chi understandable to order to practice it with the sole purpose of meditation and relaxation; congratulations to the one who practices it in the video.

I started studying Yang style Tai Chi a couple months ago, and I lucked out with my teacher... we go through the meditative form, then afterward, he'll walk me through the fighting application of each step of the form. I really enjoy both. I'm looking forward to progressing enough to start with the sword form! On a side note, one of my best friends has been studying karate for decades, and I said I bet I could push him down... he said no way. My teacher taught me the method to push down to break their plane (shoulder and hip), then push out to get them off their feet... worked like a charm!

Great technique. Great sequence of moves that most opponents would never expect coming at them. Your right! The average crazy can't fight. Your average swing fighting has its limits. A person who knows how to first of all block punches, and has an arsenal of offensive moves can really give someone who wants to hurt them the shock of their lives. I know. I've done it more than once.

I'm not going to lie I used to think Tai Chi was for old, whipping guys, I ask my friend how can they fight with slow movements. He told me they move that way to become efficient let me show you something. Before I know it, man I on the ground he done some kind of lock on me with some kind of push movement. My friend said your tense pressure provided made me react and flow with your energy. Needless to say I found the cause of my ignorance. He started to train me on a few things....Respect to the Tai Chi guys out there.

Tai Chi is good for meditation and for health. For self defense.... eh.... not so much. A lot of other martial arts are more practical and more effective but hey, who am I to judge. Keep doing what you're doing.

Tai chi is fantastic for self defense, it's just that you have to spend 5 years on basics and qi-building exercises before you get to the combat. Keep practicing with your friends, and work on all that internal stuff on the side. You might've needed those exercises back in the day where guys were collecting qi like it's steroids, but now people are lazy and impatient, so you can afford to be a bit lazier as well.

Practice one way and execute in another? Gotcha! Sounds simple enough! The "graceful" way you practice isn't for show, it's so you remain loose and relaxed. You flow around your opponent's attacks, you NEVER directly oppose them with stiff blocks. I can't even call this "Tai Chi 101," cause it's even more basic and simple than even that!

Tai Chi is a physical exercise, not a martial art. Maybe that could be it.
@DanaWhiteOfficial
@DanaWhiteOfficial 3 жыл бұрын
Davoda 1 technically, it is a martial art. There are many internal martial arts that are popular or originate in China. They’re called neijia, and they’re usually for self defense and/or meditation and health benefits. They’re all based around qi (or chi), which in simple terms, is the flow of energy. However, Tai Chi and other qi-related martial art matches are sometimes full contact with strikes and takedowns. This video was advertised as such
@Davoda2
@Davoda2 3 жыл бұрын
@@DanaWhiteOfficial Tai Chi is not something that teaches you how to fight, therefore it cannot be called a matrial art, that literally means war art. You could say the origin comes from there, but as in a great many things, where it comes from has little to do with what is now. Example: Modern so called "ninjutsu", is mainly made up, even tho the term is real, it had nothing to do what people think today.
@DanaWhiteOfficial
@DanaWhiteOfficial 3 жыл бұрын
Davoda 1 not sure where you get your information, I’ve never seen that definition of martial arts presented as fact. a majority of martial arts are based around self defense and spiritual betterment. the ones you see in mainstream media are competitive martial arts, in which they are fighting. you’re pretty much saying that a martial art can only be a combat sport in which competition takes place. that doesn’t seem like a very sound argument
@Davoda2
@Davoda2 3 жыл бұрын
@@DanaWhiteOfficial martial arts, a.k.a. arts of Mars (Roman god of war) were created to make a system for people to fight. So anything that is a system to teach people how to fight is a martial art. Kung-Fu (and the million+1 versoins of it), Karate (and the million+1 versoins of it), and not just something that is from Asia. Kravmaga (well yes technically it is asian as well) was created for the Izraeli Armed Forces, how to use a firearm, or all the European ones. They were all created, so that you can fight. And spirituality and sports have nothing to do with it. And yes, a martial art can be a sport, but that is not why it was created. You can use a weapon as paper weight, but that doesn't mean that it was made to do that. You can call a car a ship, but it won't make it float. (not will it be a number)

for all of you guys who said tai chi is stupid is because you don't know the way tai chi works ... tai chi is not an offensive fighting style, tai chi is a defensive fighting style ... you don't go to the enemy, you let the enemy come to you and if the enemy don't want to come and fight you ..... YOU WIN ALREADY !!

Jenova Corporation, Yh! You're almost 100% right but I'' give you a 96% cz there this type of tai chi called chen tai chi chuan which combines hard and soft attacks, so if u practice chen tai chi, then u don't have to wait for the opponent to attack u first. IMO, it's the best type of tai chi because u are flexible: You can hit either hard or soft depending on the situation.
