Susan a suggestion, instead of using a bow and arrow stance use a parallel stance. It will help against any leaning and force you to work on your song. LOL you mentioned it later in the Video, but I kept this thread to let you know that you are definitely a treasure on line. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so very much! You are correct that using a parallel stance (for both partners) makes it a better working scenario for developing success. Thanks for your positive comment and for watching!

I like the comment that your student is strong, for her to continue to improve her Tai Chi she will have to learn to turn off the Li or external strength. Keep up the great work.
@InternalTaiChi6 күн бұрын
haha! You are absolutely correct. She is actually not a Tai Chi student. She is a fitness instructor at our nearby wellness center. I chose her because she does not know anything about Tai Chi and is more in tune with using muscular force. I want people to see that the Tai Chi internals really work, even to those unindoctrinated to Tai Chi!

The 8 basic tai Chi Energies are improved by Song

Yes. Song is the medium on which they ride.

i have a question, how about when you're being grabbed and pulled, is the mechanism the same or different?
@InternalTaiChi8 күн бұрын
This is a good question. Yes, when being grabbed and pulled you can access their fascia in the same way, and simply connect and move in the direction they are pulling you. It is actually easier than trying to push them.
@outerlast8 күн бұрын
@@InternalTaiChi hmm that brings another scenario: what if we don't want to move in the direction of the pull, like holding our ground? for example, in a party someone grabs your wrist or elbow and tries to pull you.
@nvisblfist17 күн бұрын
@@outerlast Its all about interpreting your opponent's Energy, I can move you or control you when I can get your center and balance.
@InternalTaiChi6 күн бұрын
@outlerlast oh yes, this absolutely works for that scenario. I will try to make a video of that! You use Song, and allow them to tug at your fascia. You redirect your intent back down into your feet while you put your awareness in upward emptiness. You become immovable!
@InternalTaiChi6 күн бұрын
Actually, I can move or control someone without having their center. Sometimes I go to the outside of their center and get better results. If I try to go right at their center of balance, that is where they are more stable, but if I issue a gentle force to the fascia and to the outside of their center, it turns them more readily. It is sort of like pushing a door near the hinge (the center of rotation) versus on the outside edge. I think pushing at the center of balance is overused and often misunderstood. But that is just food for thought!

I sent your name to Todd Martin MD, Visit post 10 tips walking recent oneshe loves tai chi,he talks about the" core " too and I haven't listened, yet to yours or his, i would love to hear his view and his and similarities and differences if you do have time and listen i would love to hear it, i don't know if he looked you up , yet or if he will.

Its so simple she is using horizontal force and you using the same force against force use the opposite force and push up her force will then follow your force
@InternalTaiChi5 күн бұрын
Nope. See my other videos where I address and clearly demonstrate that I am not changing the angle of force. But thanks for watching!
@JanWright5 күн бұрын
@@InternalTaiChi I have over 60 years in marital arts just pointing your energy does it but using force against force is not the way its all science
@InternalTaiChi5 күн бұрын
@JanWright I agree that force on force is not what we want...thus the topic of this video...lol. There are alot of things demonstrated in this video ranging from energy, Song, fascia connection. I even demonstrate how changing the angle of force does not work without the internal elements. Again, I ask you...what would you like to see in my next video to better demonstrate? Or do you have a video you would like to contribute to the Tai Chi community with your wealth of experience? The true internals of Tai Chi need to be taught in as many ways as possible!
