Tai Gong is essentially Achilles 2.0 , sacrificing the defensive utility of chariot man for a boatload of offensive prowess and much better looping potential, especially against the Divine. The man just gives the multiplicative trio for Quick on 1 Skill and 20% NP Battery on his S3 positions him well as a semi-support for his Card type, which considering the sheer LACK of those for Quick is quite commendable despite the fact he's mostly better served as a selfish looper. He even compares favorable to his pre-existing competition in Riders due to how well put together his kit is for offense AND looping, though not having an upgraded NP and being Quick is a sore point. Overall the man is just great all around except in sustain, but that is a common issue for Quick units anyway so it's no real knock against him. I do find just how GOOD he is as a Quick AoE a bit ironic, though, considering DW's hesitation in making the Card great again after Castoria, and that it was only Koyanskaya's release, one of his arch nemesis, that allow him to BE so good without massive caveats.

Just for the record because people are already downplaying this guy really really hard NP1 Wang vs NP1 Achilles Wang + double skadi and without traits does an average of 39713 dmg With traits + second skill does and average of 85468 dmg Achilles + double skadi does an average of 32713 dmg

@@jeremy6491 I haven't seen anyone call him Junao levels. He's great for farming and Caster and divine bosses but you won't be taking him in every fight. Junao is very universal which Wang is not.

I wonder if the meta would change if they had a servant that affects drop rates, like someone who puts a debuff on a single enemy that if they die with it, it doubles the drop for them. That or giving the pirates/thieves that buff. You would see forgotten servants like Anne/Bonny and Drake make a comeback

I have thought for awhile Quick meta was the next up for a refresh, though the question is whether they try to cobble together a solution by buffing Skadi or release an entirely new meta support is up in the air. I am a bit dubious we would get a new meta support Servant so soon after the release Koyanksaya and Oberon, though. I'd have to think they'd want to wait until anniversary at minimum. On the other hand, the releasing of all these quick Servants definitely signals some kind of refresh is probably on the way, since I believe the same thing happened with Buster Servants prior to Koyanskaya's release.

@@itsryandanial they don’t have the same role, Achilles has more defensive utility and is more on the crit damage side. Taigong has more offensive utility and hits like a truck with his NP. Personally i’ll try to get him and pair him with my grailed Achilles and a Skadi to play like a quick retard 😃

lowering defense and raising the attack are considered the same category so they don't multiply into each other so skadi providing the defense down doesn't matter, similarly damage mods stack additively with np damage and crit damage rather than multiplicatively

He is alright. Not as good as Achilles but imho he outclasses Marie by a MASSIVE margin. Problem with him is the shitty NP gain which will prolly get fixed with the next level Quick support next year. He got the hit counts, the damage and most importantly a battery which will come VERY USEFUL in non 3/3/3 nodes. Quick, unlike Arts, only needs to get 50% NP back so that MASSIVELY lowers the required threshold for them to loop. Even on a 1 mob wave he should be refunding atleast 10% NP bar which can be pumped up to 20% easily with a few certain MCs, and all he needed to do is blow the battery and get to 50%. He STILL needs that next level Quick support though. So maybe an investment for the future perhaps?

@@Vier1993 marie loops better than both and at np3 (which is not that hard to achieve given she's been a day1 permanent 4star) does more damage than both. Quick looping with MC restrictions (in the case of Achilles and Tai, 2004 frag) is very bad these days, since both get outclassed by habetrot which is free. there is no point in summoning him for his niche also since most other Divine killers have NP upgrades and have better classes to fight divine since Divine Caster is not a popular trait.

I never said to roll for him since he's a permanent SSR. But Marie NP 3 is not a fair assumption either. I played since launch and only have NP 1 Marie for example, there's almost no reason to ever roll for her NP. Besides that's ignoring every other thing that Tai does, which include his skyrocket anti Divine damage and party wide anti niche buff (Demonic is very common farming niche to encounter) + charge. In my eyes he's better than both Marie and Achilles. But it's all moot since Quick looping in general is just worse than Arts and Buster anyway. The only reason you even do Quick loop these days is if you don't have your own Vitch/Oberon/Castoria.

I've been researching him when he said he was grand-worthy, though I felt that's because Daji's a beast now, and he needs to be a grand to fight equally. Personally, I feel that only Wukong and possibly Hou Yi can become grands (thought Hou Yi's a bit more questionable as he's a genuine god, and ROMA was just an exception) throughout China. Though you could maybe stretch it to people like Confucius and Lao Zi, but the last one is said to be reincarnation of a primordial, and Confucius is more like Savior than anything. Jiang Ziya just feel ... a bit underwhelming compared to other grands. Cool guy, great design, has a hookless fishing rod, disciplines gods (did he like actually beat the real, genuine gods or just weak divine spirits/avatars of gods?) but honestly, the most notable thing is how shady he looks. Not really the usual flashiness for a grand, I guess.

He is better than Achilles as a team player and quick looper. This means that he will be used more than Achilles for farming and as a quick support. Achilles does not have this. Where Achilles is better than him is survival. Achilles has a 2 hit invul whereas he has only a skill seal. So if you are in a long fight Achilles is better as he'll not die easily. Taigong will be better in fights that you want to minturn as he has better np gen and does more damage. At the end of the day, it's a matter of favourites. If you like Achilles use him and if you like Taigong use him.

@@Heman425 The difference in looping between the two isn't substantial enough to amount to anything. Neither are Zerkerlot or Dantes tier loopers. In terms of damage, unless Taigong gets his traits, they have very similar NP damage. Taigong on repeat NPs will be better if you're fighting the same wave of enemies cause quick res down. But, Achilles has a huge advantage in terms of damage - Taigong has a 7 turn cooldown on his first skill. That is HUGE. Meanwhile, Achilles has just a 5 turn cooldown. Yes Taigong also gives these buffs to teammates, but he is primarily a DPS. Most of the time you will be using him with multiple supports, but I agree his team synergy can come in handy. And then Achilles has survival with a 2 hit based invul that has one of the longest durations (5 turn) and 20 percent defence up for 3 turns, only on a 5 turn cooldown, so it's very easy to get back. He can also use this in conjunction with taunt to save whole team from an ST NP. Taigong has zero survival and skill seal can often be worse for survival purposes cause enemy attacks multiple times. Achilles also has better facecard damage with crits. Unless enemy is a divine or demon (which is fairly often, don't get me wrong), Achilles is very clearly stronger.

@@siliriusred4594 Whale perspective here If we compare both servants at NP1 Looping with both Achilles and Wang is pretty similar ,Wang just has a little edge but it's insignificative with double skadi anyway ,but he still has a 20% more battery than achilles which does help a lot if using with black grail Wang does hit quite hard even without his 2-skill active mainly because of how NP multiplication works in conjunction with the buffs that he receives from his first skill So if we do the math -Wang with only his first skill activated ,no traits + double skadi does an average of 39713 (not putting defensive down from skadi) Achilles with his first skill activated and double skadi does an average of 30173 (again without defensive down from skadi) So even without his traits he hits harder than Achilles Wang outclasses Achilles in almost everything except defense which nowadays is important in only CQ but even so if the enemy can be killed in 3 turns Wang would be a better fit,if not Achilles is better

Most of them that are worded differently.. for example all of these are multiplicative: card type (quick/arts/buster) up, np damage up, attack up. Note that the SAME type buffs are additive, for example, if you have 30% quick up and 50% quick up, that's 80% total.

Well quick meta won't be on the top again like you are overhyping, quick can't 6 CE comp, his skills CD are too long so multiple break bar boss will be difficult. Even at np 4 he isn't consistent in looping unless gonna use plugsuit or other mystic code for np gain, unlike when you have high np summer kama or space ishtar for farming, heck parvati is more consistent for looping than him. True his damage mod for divine is good, but if you already have a boss killer that can spam their NPs like galatea, vlad, melusine, etc. I think they're more consistent especially for multiple break bars.

I know that SP damage against Divine and Demon is good but that quick party buff is kinda meh wish they made into ST and increase it's quick up just like Skadi. You can only use his full potential if you have Skadi in your team and Quick squad
