"White Dew" is a part of a phrase from one of the earliest recorded poems from the Classic of Poetry, or sometimes also called Book of Songs, dating as far back as the 11th Century BC. A popular song among the Chinese for its simplistic and sentimental themes that still apply to this day. The poem depicts an almost dreamlike imagery, recounting the events of an unspecified character's approach to a lake surrounded by greenery glittering with dew. In the midst, our character finds his/her love across the water, alas without any easy means to draw closer.
The ambiguous nature of the song leave us without knowing who our character is, man or woman, or if what was seen was even real. Some even suggest that the vision is an illusion derived from our character's mental state and the reflections of the water, as throughout various sections of the song it was mentioned several attempts to struggle against the currents only to find "it" somewhere else.
In the end, we are left with our character still looking despite their efforts. What about you, what do you make of this? (￣▽￣)ノ

He had been here for as long as he could remember, listening to the gentle lull of nature that was flourishing after the slight rain. He breathed in the cold air with his eyes closed, taking in as much as he could until it seemed like his lungs would freeze. The rustling of the bamboo leaves, the smell of dew, the sight of the slight mist that covered the lake like a veil. He took it all in with a gentle smile, seeing her figure across the lake. She seemed like a dream to him, an imaginary figure he had created out of the loneliness in his heart. Perhaps she was but an illusion, yet her dancing figure and twinkling laughter had left its mark on him. So close, yet so far from his grasp. The tranquil scene would be ingrained in his heart forever, a memory he would forever cherish. Above him, the chirping of the birds sang a joyful tune as his warm eyes looked at the girl who was still dancing, someone whom he could not call by name nor see her face. Once, he had been desperate to know who she was, but now, he was content to just stay like this.
