I've been riding for 50+yrs, my guess is he was in doubt going around the curve coming down the mountain and decided to throttle out. Wrong thing to do. I've ridden The Dragon 6 or 7 times, the first time I was scared to death. Took me 45 minutes to go 11 miles. Talking to other experienced riders I'd be willing to bet that rider came from a state that's relatively flat and straight. Probably doesn't have a lot of experience on curved mountain roads like this. Just glad the rider is ok. As always you guys did a fantastic job !.... almost forgot, did he put anything on the tree of shame ?

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but I'll never understand why people forget that these bikes don't have alot of ground clearance. They're big, loud, and comfortable, but not quick and nimble. Glad he didn't get hurt too bad.

He hit a tree at the top and was knocked out and off the bike at the top! Lucky he was released the next day from the hospital doing good!
