The man has skills. That camera angle is terrifying. Good drive Coy. Thanks for the ride.👏

Man I wish I could drive like you, smooth rev matching and heel toe’s, I went there with my 2023 stock Wrx and was too scared to downshift so pretty much stayed on the 3rd gear through the whole ride, the g force was crazy but for sure it was a nice drive, now thinking back I wish I didn’t drive there with stock braking, the Wrx braking wasn’t great😅

WRX's are perfect for the tail EXCEPT for the brakes haha. Something I discovered as I got more used to the STi is that having a front limited slip diff on this road is actually a hinderance because the turns are so tight. I found myself being held up by a little understeer and to correct for it started pulsing throttle through turns to keep speed up but let the front diff unlock which I now really appreciate not having to bother with in the WRX... A stock suspension, stock power, stock trans WRX on the tail with DOT 4 brake fluid & slotted rotors and good pads is the most I've ever enjoyed this road! Keep it simple and let the body move around haha. no slamming it on 20k springs lol

Man I miss driving those roads. Never did the dragon but when I lived in SE Tennessee I hit just about every other twisty in the area.

What's the situation on the VeilSide?

I sold the white FD, and we’ve resumed work!

@@CoyWhite shame you had to sell the white FD, but awesome that it allows you to continue with the VeilSide. I'm building one as well. So much money!! Lol gonna take longer than 2 weeks for install and paint though.
@CoyWhite7 ай бұрын
@@jambertin54 yes I recommend not pushing for records on that side of the install haha. If given the opportunity to rebuild the car into a V2 I’ve always wanted to make, definitely gonna let it have the full amount of time for a truly perfect finish. Still crazy how good Litos managed to make it with the time I gave them. Even with further settling over time from the fiberglass, still a better aligned and flatter finish than most I’ve seen which is mindblowing

@@CoyWhite The original plan was a 4 rotor VeilSide. Which most likely will not happen due to finances lol I'm in Canada. So, the exchange rate isn't kind to us. $30k is like $45k here. Basically the 4 rotor would cost around $100k to get it here and in the car.
@CoyWhite5 ай бұрын
That was my original dream until I found out a turbo 3 rotor was an option too haha. One day perhaps 26B but having the larger secondary intake ports on the 20B irons actually gives you so much flow it’s pretty darn close in function beside the sOuNdhhcjdjhfhdbfjfj of a 4 rotor haha
