Thank you for showing what you pack (and how you pack) for both commuting and camping - gives me a much clearer idea of how the Tailfin system can be used compared to other reviews.

Please review the pump! I’m in the market for a good pump on long trips where you don’t want to mess around with mini pumps

I have its predecessor; the ToPeak Morph series (which I happen to have two different iterations of as well) is better. The Lezyne is both less capable and - more importantly - quite a bit less comfortable. However, if you can afford, settle for a Fumpa electric mini-pump. Expensive, but will inflate 30mm tyres to ca. 50PSI in under 50 seconds. The USB-C -rechargeable ones (i.e., the current stock) will fully charge from depleted in ca. an hour. The only problem with the Fumpa, save for their price - is that they're not waterproof. The miniFumpa (as opposed to the full-size Fumpa) also has no manometer (this can be separately acquired if you need one). Up until recently, the Fumpa was the most powerful electric mini pump on the market - in my experience, it's 5 to 10 times as efficient in pumping tyres as the considerably larger and somewhat heavier Xiaomi Mijia. Bosch EasyPump, too - is quite the slouch. However, there appear to be a couple of alternatives that match (or almost match) the Fumpa's / miniFumpa's performance - newer chinese devices (Fanttik, Oopump, UrLazy). All of these are larger and heavier than the Fumpa, and, save for the Fanttik - aren't as proven.

Great review! After having it for some time, would you buy the removeable bag version instead? I'm about to order one, but I'm torn between the Aeropack with QR frame mounts and the frame/removeable bag combo. Also, if you could do it again, would you still purchase the X version over the S? I could get by without panniers for most of my riding, but I like the future-proof idea of having the ability to adding panniers later down the road for any touring I may do. Buy once, cry once I suppose.

I also split about if I should buy the integrated pack or the rack and bag

just wondering about long term durability on the rack/pack?

I've two (with a removable AeroPack and anchors for panniers); have been using one for over 3 years now, and another one since over a year - they're durable. Excellent in many ways. Worth it, although, admittedly, one of my units had an issue with excess epoxy resin filling in for carbon arch's filaments, the decorative rubber top stay ends of stays (in early carbon versions) randomly getting unglued and lost, the rubber pads the panniers are propped against can be undone if used with insufficient care. In other words, minor issues with quality control aren't particularly rare, unfortunately (and these decidedly need sorting!) - and yet - they're the finest racks available to date. While my suggestion may sound a bit contradictory of issues I referred above - I highly recommend them.

The only thing missing for me, as far as bike-bags go, is a full frame bag. Any idea where to get a custom made bag?

Rockgeist, outer shell, rouge panda, and oveja negra are my top picks for custom frame bags. For easiest accessibility I'd tend to lean towards with the bigger brands like revelate, apidura or ortlieb. Price and lead times always vary, vote with your 💸💸 . I'm testing out somr half frame bags right now, I like the simplicity of 1 liter bike bottles for hydration.

I am wondering, if you actually be able to use all 20litres..

Not really from my experience so far, like traditional seat packs, the shape is a bit odd, I do have a hard time filling it to max capacity. Maybe filling it with 20 liters of coffee beans? Yea in practice you for sure have to compromise on the shapes of the items you pack.

Nice review. Looking at the bag on its own and just strapping it down. Good content. 1 sub from me.
