I begged you not to develop any more stuff. I can't avoid buying because it's just so darn good and basically increases my enjoyment on the bike. I've bought the tailfin carbon rack, aeropack, mini panniers, cargo mount and now you are forcing me to once again spend more money. But I guess you've sold me once again. It just looks so well designed, engineered I can't resist.

Awesome! Super glad to see it come out now that I've seen a couple of test units being used in along with people touting a top tube bag's usefulness with Tailfin not having one yet. Loved it not needing a front strap and having a magnetic closure. Sadly I already have a top tube bag with a magnetic closure so not in need of a new one yet. Looks like the full top tube one is coming out soon judging by the fact there are some black units out in the wild.

I like it how you guys put the pack a little further from the stem bolt area. Traditional top tube bags easily get deflected sideways if they are against the stem.

Very interesting video. I got a 'classic' velcro top tube pack on my bag for a little over a year now and got exactly those problems mentioned in this video: the wear done by the bag rubbing the frame and also the problem of not being able to tighten the front velcro a lot, because then it will move with the steering. I'm anxious to try out the Tailfin pack. I'm a bit worried about the fact that my top frame tube isn't a nice cylinder, but is quite broad at the front. Not sure how this is going to work with the base of the pack. But I'm going to give it a go. I also like how this is an honest comparison and not an over the top ad.

@@TailfinCycling hi the bags came today. I really like them. But I had to modify one thing immediately. I removed the metal "handle" of the zipper and use only the cord instead. The "rattle" of the zipper handle needed to be silenced. 😉

Hello! To ensure one-handed operation the zipper puller needs to be able to move around a certain amount. You can tuck the zip into the zipper garage at the front of the pack when not in use and this will stop all occasional noises from the zip.

Have already benefitted from the Tailfin ‘ecosystem’, I am looking forward to getting the top tube bag as it addresses the niggles I have with my current bike and what I am using. My existing top tube bag wraps around the steerer which is problematic on my specialized diverge (which has the future shock) and also on my Giant Defy which ends up rubbing against the extender clips. Definitely need to have 1.5L but finding it hard to decide between the magnetic enclosure or zip. Would be using for both road and gravel touring.

I really do love the design of this bag but before I purchase one, and show it on my channel, would it fit on a Specialized Creo E bike . I don’t need to see or touch the tcu power button, so I’m asking do you think your mounting system would fit as securely on top of it. Many thanks. 👍🏼🚴🏻‍♂️⚡️

Hey Nick - Do you have a video testing the Flip Lid? I have two non-zip type top tube packs - brand A and brand C. If I pack brand A full, it can pop open on rough gravel rides. It magnetically closes afterwards but I have lost a wallet in those few seconds when it popped open. Brand C relies of gravity to keep it closed and gravity is not a friend in gravel riding. Stuff inside bumps up against the lid, opens it and out they fly. Also, is there a loop inner frame gap for me to insert thin shock cord inside the pack so I can secure keys, wallet etc?

Hi Steven, the V-Mounts secure the pack to your frame without risk of damage and remove the need for a front stabilising strap. There will be no issue with having a flat top-tube!

Two observations: - A shame there isn't a low-profile magnetically snapping into place retention system akin to #FidLock's for easy installation and removal of the top tube bags onto top tube bento box mounts. - Please, collaborate with #RouteWerks on a handlebar bag with properly waterproof exterior with HFW seals. Their handlebar bag is by far the best out there, but the ugly rough material of the outer that isn't even waterproof (as well as its highly limited capacity) is a dealbreaker.

Thanks for the feedback! Our key approach whilst designing products is solve pain points and problems. A Quick Release top tube pack is an interesting problem to solve for sure! Regarding routewerks bag - it seems like a great product.
