If you’ve not bought a larger bag already, Tailfin are bringing out some full length top tube bags in the near future. I’ve just bought the 3.8l frame bag, I can’t get over how solid and stable it is on my bike.

I have the same top tube bag and also the 5.3-liter frame bag. Even though these were quite expensive compared to, for example, products from Restrap, I have not regretted my purchases for a moment. I used the frame bag once on a longer, almost two-week bikepacking trip, and I must say the frame bag is more than I could have expected. I had previously used frame bags from Topeak and Ortlieb, and they were pretty good, but nothing compared to the Tailfin frame bag.

I have the same bag on my 58cm Checkpoint screwed down. Great bag. Note the larger size is recommended for mountain bikes. It is wider and knees may tough it on a road bike. I also have the 3.8l half frame bag. Note their fit application made the next larger size look like it would fit. I cut out the templates from their site and it would not. So measure three or four times before ordering. On the half frame bag I was at first disappointed because it is not screw mounted. But the straps work fantastically. And it is easier to attach and detach. For know I use it with a Platypus 2l water bladder. The pack has a port at the front for the water tube. There is still room for my size for food and a couple TPU tubes. I also use water bottle mount shifter plates to lower the cages slightly I can use larger bottles. These also fit my 2021 Domane SL6 but using only the straps. Nice video. Get a frame bag from Tailfin. You’ll like the interface with the top tube bag. Print and cut out their templates.

That's great information, thankyou. I have tried to the AI generated guide and I'm still debating sizes. Im not worried about ordering the wrong size as I know I wouldn't have any issues returning it for another. I hadn't thought about using a bladder in there 🤔

@@SpinAnGrin I tried the AI tool. Good for a start. I then printed and taped together the too scale outline. This worked best and prevented me from going with the next size up. It also gave me an idea of which water bottles fit. On the water bladder for the frame bags there is a flap door at the front.

I'm also going down the slippery slope you mentioned. Also in Australia, I have a combo of the 1.1 top tube bag and a 4.5 litre frame bag. Perfect fit for my large Curve Kevin. I already had an earo pack that I have swapped between my gravel bike, hard tail mtb and full suspension mtb using the universal axel mount. As you mentioned, customer service is great, quick replies with any questions.

The 1.1 model is too small but the 1.5 model is too wide. Could he sell a new model longer but narrow as the 1.1 to increase volume?

Go for a frame bag! You won't notice it fitted but it works so well

I have the zipper version. It's really good. I've mounted it on two bikes - one with no frame bosses and one with. Both worked very well, whichever you choose. If you can mount it directly on your frame without straps, it would be better, as the gap between the bag and the frame will be narrower. The only issue I have with this is that it isn't 100% waterproof. I ride in heavy rain a lot and my stuff inside got wet from the first ride I had with it. Maybe I'm expecting too much? I'm not sure.

For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
