I got myself a 4.5lb Elwell tazzy, and I'll say Buckin watching your wood bullets and the tazzies then using a tazzy even with a hardware store handle. Your wood bullets Must be totally nuts. 🤪 I've been splitting knots all day. I've actually been trying to break the handle so I have a reason to change it

i have a McCulloch, that runs and cuts beautifully... Revs up the second you touch the throttle etc.... The only issue it has.... If im cutting into a tree or a big log.. and that chainsaw is going flat out... When i let off the throttle, Sometimes it dies out... ONLY AFTER letting off the trigger.. Drops its revs as it should, goes down to near idle.. then just dies out... Always fires right back up again though... When im letting off from a big cut, I have to sometimes blip the throttle a couple times, Just while the revs are coming down... To keep it running.... Its not the idle too low... Because i have it set to just where the chain doesnt wona rotate on the bar... Slightest increase of idle, Makes the chain start to rotate when idling..

Hey there Buckin I recently bought a small husky at homer saw 18 inch brand new … and it is really cold blooded it will start and idle ( ish) but will not take any throttle just is like bra bra and wants to die out so I’m needing to adjust the carburetor for sure I’m assuming it’s lean on the low side but I’m not really to sharp on two cycle tuning … any advice would be appreciated…also I have a large stihl saw what do u think of the 084 model

Spark plug will get you pretty often. Had a newer outboard leave me stranded on the river. Rest the plug against the block - pure lightning storm. I basically rebuilt that whole motor and it still wouldn't run. Put a $7 spark plug in it and you can sneeze on it and it will crank and run. Lol. Lessons... even xomparing spark between the new and old plug there was no difference but it just wouldn't fire

I've been having a tough time finding heads but I figure if I get good enough at it I may be able to make enough side money to play with more saws too and if nothing else to hopefully see less people camping with such meh axes lol take care yall

sounds like not enough fuel getting through. if i get a problem like that I check all the easy things first such as spark plug, compression / air leaks, fuel leaks, breather vent, try tweaking the high jet and see if it improves. if i can't fix a problem by doing the basic stuff then i normally take the carb off to see whats going on in there. it might be dirt or water blocking the main jet or fuel passage ways. or possibly even a gasket leak or float / needle valve problem - consider taking the carb off and taking it apart to check it. check the colour of the spark plug. if its running lean it'll be very light in colour (like a caramel white). if its running rich it'll be black. a good colour is light tan. hope that helps + hope you get it fixed!
