I have this exact bike in black and am very happy with it. I've got almost 2000 miles over the past 15 months and ride several days a week. A lot of nice touches put into it. I find the braking to be excellent. It is a light weight bike and stops quickly, the lights at night are awesome. It looks better than any other ebike that I've found. I've recommended it a ton of people in my cycling club and several other friends also have wing bikes and really like them. definitely there are better bikes out there but more than double the cost

I have this same bike in triple black with all black accessories like helmet and water bottle holder, tire pump and single side mirror. I have yet to see another one on the streets here in atlanta. My sister just bought one in the v shape which is pretty cool.

Got the freedom X 2 months ago and put 200 miles on it between Manhattan and Brooklyn. I rode to Coney Island from Gramercy the second day I got it, 31 mile round trip with lots of battery usage on PAS 5 and some throttle. Got me home (just) and I have the largest, 14.4 Ah batt. Really beautiful and fast cruiser. Be careful riding through the streets, this thing is fast. Get a MIPshelmet. In many ways I feel safer now as I can match many car speeds. I got a fender and throttle set with mine too.

I have the Freedom x black bike . I tried the full range in moderate wind and generally flat road conditions with throttle only with the exception of restarting from a stop using pedal assist. It easily gives 20 miles with the throttle mostly on full power to top speed . My top speed was steady at 22 mph for the first 7 miles. At around 9 miles it was constant holding top speed at 18 mph + to around 15 miles. At 20 miles distance it still would carry at 14-16 miles an hour with one bar displaying on the battery. I have the 14 ah battery Which is rated for up to 60 miles but the most I rode on one charge with mid range pedal assist or throttle is around 45 miles with 1 bar displaying on battery . The throttle spoils you a bit but I love the option to ride without pedaling too. I'm considering buying another battery for further distance just for touring adventure which could be switched out to go twice as far with less time and effort . The total cost of the bike and extra battery is still comparable to more expensive E bikes. it would still be less than $2,500. I would be able to ride over 100 miles mid range pedal assist in one day at 6 hours with the extra big 14ah battery or 44 miles in two hours at throttle only in one day.

We have the ST and X and love them. On level 1 assist, we get about 40 miles on the medium size battery (10.4). The throttle definitely uses more battery just like an any ebike. We are very happy with them.

Let me save you some time. We returned the Soltera 7, nothing but problems. We LOVE our Wing Bikes. The difference between the ride is night and day. The Wing is incredibly smooth and feels sturdy. The Aventon was clunky and we had a lot of mechanical issues and Aventon customer service team couldn't fully resolve them, the aventon support was not good. We eventually gave up. Also the wing has disc brakes which aventon doesn't. the wing also has a ton of cool features that pack so much more value (torque sensor vs cadence sensor (big difference), alarm system, location tracking, fenders, meatier tires to make the ride smoother). We are very happy with our wing x and ST models.

@@danaldrin516 thanks for the info, Dan. I have heard similar concerns about Wing’s (lack of) customer service, so I’ve started researching slightly more expensive models, like the Aventon Level 2 and the radpower radrunner. There are so many models at so many price points it’s a bit overwhelming

@@Floydsframes Perhaps you misunderstood me. Wing customer service has been nothing short of amazing, I can vouch not just for my wife and I but also for our friends and people we have spoken with. I have heard a lot of disappointment with Aventon/RadPower customer support and their bikes being quite clunky. They are very heavy.

Perfect timing! I get that EXACT bike on Thursday. Nice video, super sharp clarity. That front rack (which I also ordered) had me tripping a bit as it stayed put when you turn the handlebars. I'm 6'4" and was worried the bike might feel a little small. Did you use install the handlebar stem extender to raise it?

I’ve had a horrible experience with Wing Customer Service. The battery arrived damaged, loose in the box and without any protective wrapping. I informed Wing Customer Service prior to assembling the device and they told me “that happens” and never once offered to replace or fix the battery. I have emailed Wing Bike Customer Service five times without a response. Don’t but a bike from Wing unless you want to pay several thousand $$$ for a bike that arrives damaged and a warranty that is worthless.

WOW!! You're not the only one who's had a pretty awful experience with customer "service". I ordered the silver Wing Freedom X.2 and the order confirmation said "Black". I called (you will never get anyone to answer, goes directly to voicemail) and asked them to correct it. I also emailed them and received confirmation with the correction (from Bill). A week later, I received the Black one instead!?!?. Getting them to exchange it would cost me over $300. They (Bill) kept repeating that that is their policy--so basically, "we made a mistake, too bad for you, pay us to exchange it but we will not guarantee that we'll send you what you order, that is our policy".

it does fine on gentle hills, once it gets to 15% grade it struggles and takes a lot out of the battery. If you don't mind fat tire ebikes I have a few recommendations on cheaper fat tire hub drive ebikes mentioned in the description box, but if you want a true hill climber "non-fat tire" you may want to consider a "mid drive" ebike instead of hub.

I’m not impressed, my gf can jump to conclusions much quicker. They don’t even offer commission on sales so there’s no incentive to even say anything good about it really. The brakes kinda suck as stated and shown in the video. I show the actual performance metrics on my standard set of testing. Def less polished then the vanmoof, and a bit slow top speed, but the torque sensor is actually great. Horrible fake overhyped no-context content will not ever be published on this channel.

I couldn't believe they put so much work into not designing the van moof. They're all just basic shapes you'd start with with a flash light on top as a much too high xbar. It's weird how VM doesn't even come with a display at all and expects you to use your old phone or steal someone's phone or something. I like how it gives you the option of the throttle lever but prefer an actual throttle since you can grip it more accurately. The torque sensor is the best thing about it which I don't even know if vanmoof has... Cadence sensors kinda feel like your bucking a lazy horse. With a torque sensor it's your wattage plus the motor wattage directly at about 100 mhz but what's cool is that you rarely have to brake, instead, you can throttle down like down shifting and maintain your momentum to slow down then throttle back up. The vanmoof claims to have a display that's so "simple" it's "lazy" but it's really so simple it really is lazy literally. They just said it first. The back light is stupid. No one uses the rear break light to see from. It's meant to be used to signal to others to see you. It doesn't have to and shouldn't be the same as the headlight
